so you are saying that the cruise terminal at Ft. Lauderdale has global entry; to process you thru customs?
Yes.
We literally bypassed thousands of people in the regular lines, there were 4 people in front of us. (we were getting off Harmony after the TA in Nov)

I have hard and soft luggage, I much prefer the soft.

The possible noise is from the steward's cabin next door. Apparently, that's where they sort the room service trays during the day.
Oh I see, yes that could be noisy.

The hair dryers are small and you need to hold the button down the entire time. I always bring my own. Irons have been answered
-
There wasn't any problems with noise on the other side of the wall, I guess it depends on the folks using the park.

Oceanview balcony was $600 more. That money could be put to better use ...... in the casino!
Oh I'm with ya there!!!

If you have health issues or not, this is topic you should discuss with your primary care medical specialist.

Absolutely correct. I work for a family physician and this is our recommendation. I also suggest going to the travel clinic, not sure if this is something you have in your area but where we live they're brilliant. They know the exact outbreaks in any given area.

The large ships have reservations because there are just so many people. Typically you need to reserve the ice shows, you'll see signs for this. Enjoy, we're on Explorer next April from Sydney-Seattle.

I am booked for stateroom 11229 on Harmony next year and was wondering where the bed is located for that stateroom - next to the door, or next to the balcony? TIA
We were in 11217 for a Med cruise, it's on one side of the living wall, the cabin you're looking at is at the other side, our bed was beside the balcony. If I may make a suggestion, we were on Harmony for 20 nights, 7 nt Med then the TA. We moved across the hall to 11218 for the TA portion, while I absolutely love Central Park, one of our favourite places on the ship, I was happy to move to an ocean balcony. So much more privacy, you can't see anything but the Park and your neighbor across the way in his skivvies! Our friends had a park cabin for the entire three weeks and really wished they had the ocean instead. It's just a suggestion, you'll love it either way. She's my favourite ship thus far.

Nothing. Always advisable to have your Hep A and your Tetanus should always be up to date.

We visit Victoria often. I enjoy tea and tearooms. My most recent tearoom experience was Venus Sophia. Price was reasonable and an authentic tea was nicely served. The location was good for walking, just on the edge of Chinatown and just off Government Street.
I don't know this one and I live here! Thank you.

75 per person
ouch!
It is very good but yes very expensive. It's ridiculous really, they're gouging the tourists and that's not right. I'm sure you'll find someplace nice.

Please do me a personal favour (with a "u" :D ) and get thee to Rogers Chocolates on Government Street. The Victoria Creams are to die for and it is something that you shouldn't pass up if you even remotely like chocolate. When we were there on a cruise stop two years ago in May, they were open past 9 pm, so I know they will be open for you in June.

.
Skip Rogers and go to Bernard Callebaut, much better chocolate. I'm just not a fan of the Victorian creams, we have a Rogers location across from work and shudder when the creams show up! But still worth a try if you haven't.

Just get off the ship and walk into town, it's absolutely gorgeous. We have lots of old buildings, an interesting China Town, many many very good restaurants. No end of things to see. We also have a street full of tacky tourist shops and they'll be open. The horse carriages will be out as well. Please come and enjoy our city, we are very proud of it.

It really isn't all that off the beaten path, but my mom (my travel companion) loves tea. I found the White Heather Tea Room in the Oak Bay area which looks like a very cute spot, so I'd like to take her there. We aren't very adventurous (she always worries about missing the ship!), so I want to make sure we could get there and back successfully.
If she likes tea then I'd recommend the afternoon tea at the Empress, it's very expensive but oh so good.

If it says to book on board then it's possible that all the booking spaces for online bookings have been filled.
Keep checking, I've seen this when they aren't open for booking.

Take water shoes for the beach, just a little protection from sea life or the odd rock.
-
It's possible the bookings aren't open yet?
-
Pretty sure they do

We loved Harmony too and are waiting for booking to open up for this one. Will we see you on her?

I'd love to do another TA. Especially a beading class! I found this little light/magnifier by Ottlite, I would be perfect, fit right in the suitcase.

Miami.
That's a lot of Oasis class ships in Florida.
Does Pier 91 in Seattle have Global Entry?
