Plaza bar on 5 is now Alchemy. Red Frog and Blue Iguana are bars on 10. I really like Alchemy and the Piano Bar is a good times

too. I can't comment on the drink package as I didn't get it. Hope this helps.

Always a great meal at Ruth's particularly at the old flagship location on Broad St in NOLA. I was lucky enough to have lunch there about two weeks before Katrina did it in.

After 3 gate changes and very helpful service from Southwest airlines I finally arrived New Orleans over 4 hours late. A 200 dollar luv voucher significantly reduced pain and suffering that was already miminal do to the "I'm on vacation and I'm happy mindset".

 

An easy lyft ride and hilton's digital key ensured quick access to my room.

 

After 15 minutes I was back on the move implementing plans to ride street cars and eat oysters at gallstones restaurant with dessert at Cafe during minded.

Last summer through Greece and Ephesus we booked through Shorebee. Great tours at every stop particularly the one in Ephesus.

In Louisiana there was a loophole where it was legal to sell to 18-20 year olds but it was "illegal" for them to consume it. Rarely if ever enforced. When the federal government threatened withholding hiway funding they changed the law in the 90s. In the 70s we went to some bars in NOLA when we were 15 and were never asked for ID. Just had to know which ones.

Looks like a fine stablishment!

The performer is Shawn. He's an understudy in the Brat Pack... for both the Rebel and Principal roles. And this was his one and only performance in the Brew House. So glad I caught it.

The Hilton connects with The Riverwalk mall and connects to the Julia St terminal. I have not walked it but it is probably the equivalent of about 3 city blocks.

I'm with Ckrewz on going to Cochon. Donald Link is a Beard Award winning chef. The menu has many Cajun favorites. I had smoked and braised short ribs there a couple of years ago that were unreal. Good bourbon selection too.

Just a flat out great review. Thanks Rick. We'll be on the Sun in AK next year and can't wait.

BTW all those third week of September birthdays....Merry Christmas babies. Just sayin!

We're driving into New Orleans Christmas Eve morning to cruise on the Triumph. Saints game starts at noon. I can come in East or West on 10. It's about the same distance for us. Is one way easier than the other to get to terminal during game day traffic? Any suggestions that you could recommend would be helpful. Thanks
