Curious where you were looking..outdoor cafes? Just spent a week in September, with fairly high humidities (according to the locals). Had no problem with A/C in restaurants.
We would love to know some air conditioned restaurants in Maui. We also have only seen ones that had none and I can’t take the heat.

I wouldn’t wait until Fall and in March there’s a better chance of viewing whales.
Here’s a description of average March conditions in Maui which would be similar to the other islands.
https://www.hawaiiweathertoday.com/trip-planning-weather/#mar
March – Spring brings increasingly strong Northeast tradewinds, and more showers on the windward sides from Haiku to Hana, and on the upper West side from Napili to Kaanapali. Kihei and Lahaina are generally warm and sunny. Winter storms lose their influence on Maui later in the month. Tradewinds blow on the average 61% of the time. Surf still up frequently on the North and West shores. Sea water temperature averages about 74 degrees F.
March averages for different locations on Maui Lahaina 83-64 F. (28.3C-17.8C) 1.79" of precipitation Hana 79-65 F. (26.1C-18.3C) 9.54" of precipitation
Kahului 81-65 F. (27.2C-18.3C) 2.72" of precipitation Kahului % of possible daytime sunshine: 72%
Hi Frank. Thanks for the info. We’re back to cruising after a couple of years off. Hope you are doing well.

We’ve always gone to Hawaii in the Fall. Perfect weather sailing and in Hawaii. Celebrating our 40th Anniversary in March and thinking of cruising to Hawaii. What should I expect weather wise? I know every year is different, but a ballpark would be helpful. Should we wait till Fall?

I have the shower caddy from Favors By Serendipity I have used for years now. It is so handy, even in pre cruise hotels. Especially in Europe. Just got an email that they are on sale for cyber week. $6.95 including shipping. It was 16.95 with shipping. I found it at the special price in their corporate section.

I was just visiting favors by serendipity website and I know a lot of us use their luggage tag holders. Just thought you'd want to know they have lowered their prices. What a deal! Mine have lasted for years.

Enjoy your cruise. I hope it remains uneventful for you;)

When did this take affect? We just go off the Regal where my husband had the soda card Twice for our b2b cruise.

I've used the ones from favors by serendipity for years and they still look like new. I do prefer the 9" loops, I guess it depends on how thick the handles are on your luggage. They have a few other cruise accessories I use as well.

Hi Theo,
Somewhere along the way you removed the picture you had of E506. I know you had it because I was the one who pointed out the difference between the Starboard side of these ships and Port side. You have the correct one now of E505, but I think you should go through Dave's original pictures, because Imthink that's where E506 was.
We are going to be on the Regal in December. I can take pictures on turnaround day. This is going to sound like a dumb question, but how do I denote each shot so I know which cabin the picture is of? Any suggestions? I will be using my IPhone.

I'm trying to convince hubby to try the crab shack. He does 't enjoy "working to eat his food" as he puts it. Do they at least have them sliced open in places, or is it all cracking to open them?

Hi Chris,
I am planning special events on the Regal for our sailing in December. Can you tell me which nights they did the Formal nights, when they offered the Pub lunch and Fondue? Thanks so much.
Wonderful thread!

Anyone else catch the rainbow last night? And here's sunrise picture this morning.
This is the first time I've ever seen a rainbow reveal itself, arc by arc, until it was full. It became too large to capture on camera, and I had to seam two pictures together in photoshop as best I could. Then, I soon realized, if I could have been at a different viewpoint, it would have been a full circle! (Check the photo that shows it continuing through the horizon, onto the ocean.)
What is your cabin number? It looks like a great obstructed balcony! Thanks.

What time did you go to embarkation? Just wondering if it matters. I am sailing in the Regal next month and would not do well left out in the sun for medical reasons. Did they allow Elite to embark first?
Sorry, I can see now you answered this

Hi Chris. So happy a link to your adventure was put on our roll call. We will be sailing in December and I look forward to reading about your experiences.

The luggage fits under the bed on all Princess ships including the Royal/Regal. We were on the Royal as well as most other ships.

The advantage of starting out on the left side of the train is the narration is given only on the way up. It's nice to see what the speaker is referring to.

Thx everyone. I'm always watching the prices and usually save money on my cruises. The button they used to have made it easier to do. Maybe they realized they were helping us get lower prices and so discontinued it. I'll still check.
-
It seems to me last year I saved a cruise and it had a button there,,which when you pressed it,ms howled the far going up or down. I saved $300.00 on my cruise catching the price drop one day. I can't find that same button. Perhaps I'm forgetting where it was or Princess changed their site. Can you help?
Thanks.

If you stayed in this cabin on any of these ships, was the bed against the wall or under the window? Got a picture of the "view"?
Thanks,
-
This is a very helpful thread. I was wondering if you could add another description? Bed Orientation for window and obstructed cabins.
I took a survey a while back and had a lot of interest in this subject. It would be nice to know if you have a window or obstructed cabin if the bed was against the wall or under the window. It helped me choose a cabin based on info I gathered. All the pictures Princess uses show bed under window but that is not accurate in the majority of cabins on most ships.
It is also helpful to know if bunk beds are obtrusive as I learned many are.
If you would like the info I gathered I'd be happy to email it to you.
Thank you.

We were in B505 on the Royal. I enjoy being midship and although many complain about the elevator situation and no stairs midship, we didn't have any problem. The balcony is smaller but it was fine for us. I prefer the regular balcony cabin over the deluxe balcony because I use the desk and like the storage it provides. We were very happy with the cabin. I love this new class of Princess ships. We'll be on the Regal in December.

Oops! Didn't see Martin's response before I asked about the month. However we have cruised to Alaska in June and saw many whales but never Orca's, we were told it was too early that's why I thought we had to go later in the summer. Now I'm confused. I'd rather go earlier in the summer from other research I've done, but if July or August would be better for Orca whale watching in Alaska, I would like to know that. I know I probably sound redundant, but I'm going by past experience for not seeing them in June.

Stay out until dark after setting sail, and up early, at least 1/2 hour prior to dawn. Need forward 180 viewing. Returning to Vancouver, be out from about mid afternoon, or earlier, if you are seeing land. And staying out- missing any sit down long dinner.
Awesome. So is August the month to go or would July be okay?
