  1. Hi,

I have a recent colostomy as of 6/26. Ive been in and out of Hospital ever since for pain. My Cruise is 8/21. I'm learning the care of this thing slowly but surely. Got any tips and tricks? What do you carry your supplies in? I also have CPAP, a Dexcom system and an artificial eye. I rented a scooter for ship because we are at the back of a big one, heading to Alaska. I have a medical tag for the bag I'm putting medical supplies in and I know that bag has to be Medical supplies only and does not count as carry on. I'm nervous. I'm an experienced Cruiser at least.

  2. Thank you. I will look. I ALWAYS pay the insurance when booking the trip. So much can happen in the interval. I feel hopeful about the trip. My cruising buddy is an experienced cruiser as well. I think resting on my balcony or anywhere is just what the Dr ordered! I live in landlocked Missouri

  3. I am having a huge abdominal surgery 7 weeks before a Cruise to Alaska that was canceled for Covid. My Cruising buddy is another nurse. We have insurance on Cruise, flights, I rented a scooter just in case - I have insurance on it too. We are sitting in the front of the plane which will be very helpful and we have direct flights. Any advice? I'm a bit nervous. Frankly if I need chemotherapy I will wait 10 days to start till we get back unless it's an emergency and then of course would need to cancel. Any tips to make life easier are welcomed

  4. We have Cruised several times for the Superbowl and it is fun. We last were on to watch our own KC Chiefs win! We were watching in Aqua Theater and they had a buffet on deck. Another time we watched at Studio B, they had food too and cakes representing both teams. I'm not sure with Covid about food but you will definitely be able to watch it in several places on board. Have fun!

  5. Hi,

Will be on the Symphony 12/11-18. We are from KC and the Chiefs play the 12th and on Thursday night football. Any idea if we will be able to see the games? I emailed the Concierge and he said "if we get the feed, it will on at Playmakers and TV."

(Yes I realize it may be a moot point for our guys but still love them)

    Thanks,

    Myra

  6. The drinks are just as listed, from 1630 to 2000 each evening. Regarding the coke in a can, we were only allowed a canned coke because we had the "Royal Refreshment" drink plan. Which was a total waste of money. I thought I could get bottle juices. My welcome back amenity had a bottle of grapefruit juice. Nope. Then people selling vitamin water kept telling me that was juice. Nope.

  7. I look forward to your review! I just got off on Sunday. Mentally kicking and screaming. She's a beautiful ship. On sea days, don't miss the lunch in main dining room. They have a buffet and a great salad bar, you pick ingredients and they make your salad. You can also order off the menu at lunch. On our last sea day, dessert on menu was a "floating island". Yummy! Dining room had great food but we also went to other venues.
