  1. A few more things

    1. On boarding day, you can sign up for a maximum amount of drop offs. The last 2 Oasis class cruises I was on, they limited to 3 sessions. You can go back in a couple days and they are more flexible on scheduling.

    2. As I remember, the minimum is 1 hour

    3. They are busier in the evenings so if you have something you really want to do, make that appointment on boarding day.

    4. I had no issues getting my baby in but I did not cruise during peak times. I even dropped in a few times during the day and they took her on the spot. YMMV depending on how many babies are on board.

    5. Like Chocolat88 stated, everything is in one room. So, if your baby has a hard time sleeping with some light and noise, it will be harder for them to stay down. There is a TV in the nursery too that was on all the time.

  2. One more thing. If you use iMessage, it actually goes through your data plan and not text messaging. So, if you are texting iPhone to iPhone, remember to send as a text. Also, once you get to port, you'll be able to use your data plan pretty easily. Especially in Mexico, the service is totally free and as fast as the US service.

  3. Yes, my Set Sail pass says Emerald and so does everything else besides my luggage tags. I fully expect to be Emerald on my cruise. I had heard about getting tags that were the lowest tier in the room, just hadn't heard of getting a higher tier. Also, I know the status on the tags don't mean anything but was fantasizing that I got a one cruise upgrade. You know, like when hotels and airlines do the status challenges?

  4. I just printed out our luggage tags for our next cruise and they say Diamond on them. I'm not Diamond (yet), only Emerald. There's no one else in our party that is Diamond. I know the status on the tags mean zilch, just wondering if others have seen a higher status on the luggage tags. And does anyone know why?

  5. I would do Oasis for a few reasons. 1. Carousel. My 3 year old rode the carousel a million times on Allure and never got sick of it. 2. B2B means 2 muster drills that are may interfere with nap time. I have 2 toddlers too and naptime is king at our house. Putting 20% of the afternoon naps at risk is too risky for us, ha. 3. The DreamWorks shows in the Aquatheatre are so much fun.

  6. I'm about to book a balcony room for myself, husband, and 5-yo son and I've heard conflicting reports. One Royal rep said they wont pull down the pullman for any kid under 6. Another Royal rep said "it's at your discretion". Has anyone had an issue with room stewards refusing to pull down the Pullman for a 4-5yo?

On Princess this past April the room steward would not pull down the Pullman for our son who was 3yo at the time.

So, if your 3rd and/or 4th person in the stateroom is under the recommend age, is the expectation that the parents use the pullmans and the kids use the bed?

  7. Actually it's approx 159 sq. ft. for the Freedom class ships category G Oceanview.

Have you priced a FO (Family Ocean View or any of the Family/Larger Panoramic Ocean View or even a FP Promenade Family) ? Any of these would give you plenty of space...much more than even a balcony. Do consider all the category options you may have.

Best of luck and enjoy that cruise on Liberty... a favorite of ours.

We did. The Panoramic Ocean view are smaller than the D1 and more expensive so I think we'd do the D1 if we upgraded. There were no more Family staterooms available or the large oceanviews (F). For a minute, 1802 was available and the deck plan looks like that room is larger than the other P2s but I couldn't confirm.

  8. A balcony is always better than a window cabin.

Yes, I realize that. We have small kids and room size is more important than the balcony. Also, the balcony is about 25% more so budget is a consideration. Just wanted to know if anyone had knowledge of the actual room sizes on the category G staterooms on Liberty.
