No. I figure no cruising until at least 1/1/21 at the earliest.

Royal is a real piece of work, they wait until just before 5 PM ET to get this out so all the east coast travel agents are closed up for the weekend.

I wonder how long it takes to issue FCCs or refunds for every paid stateroom on every ship, per cruise....
With today's modern computer systems not long. It's RCL releasing those credits and refunds back to the customer that takes so long, it's called dragging their feet.

The only thing that bothers me throughout this whole process is that until a curative is developed for this Covid-19 virus cruises will continue to be cancelled. The authorities have basically said that there will be no vaccine until early 2021. So my gripe is that why hasn't RCL and all the other cruise lines just cancelled all activity until then instead of playing this 30 days at a time game that they are playing. Yeah and I know ALL the "reasons" why they don't, I personally just think it is unethical. Same thing goes for the entire sports world, etc.

LESS than a Zippo lighter chance of sailing. As I have stated in my humble opinion before on this type of thread no cruising before 1/1/2021.
-
RCL will wait as long as possible to push forward the cancellations as they have been doing, in other words, they'll cancel when they cancel. As far as us we will not initiate a cancellation of our 5/17 cruise until RCL does so. If the cruise isn't cancelled we will be at the pier with our masks and gloves and sanitizers waiting to board.

Per CLIA for all cruisers.

A tongue in cheek comment........ If the 70 + doctors note goes into effect permanently there will be very few scooters aboard ship to run you over. At least you would think that would be the case.
-
What MD is gonna sign a form stating that a pax 70 or more is "healthy" enough to sail on a cruise. Can you see the malpractice suits plus the lawsuits to the cruise company if a pax in that situation dies? Or "any" pax for that matter. If this policy becomes permanent cruise lines are gonna lose a ton of business.

We have a 5/17 cruise which is still on as well. We will just wait for Royal To cancel before doing anything.

Or any time in 2020. JMHO.

Free Beer!*
* to be fair, I don't actually think free beer is necessary. I'm just putting the idea out there on the hopes it catches on.
Free beer is ALWAYS welcome, especially if it is accompanied by a shot of a fine whiskey!

Would also add:
Adjustments for seating everywhere on the ship. Dining, Bars, Casino, and all public places. Seating, spacing will be to be followed.
Agree but at the gaming tables in the casino and at the bars this would be a tough sell. They pack those areas pretty tight.

Without going into a ton of theories and so called facts and ramifications my personal opinion is that all unneeded travel should be suspended for the remainder of 2020 and then reevaluated around December for a possible extension. If the virus abates before the end of the year then maybe the end of 2020 time frame could be rolled back. With no antidote for the virus on the short horizon I personally would not step foot on any public transportation until that was readily available.

We have a cruise scheduled for 5/17/20 on Oasis out of Bayonne. Already have resigned ourselves to the idea that the cruise will not go off as scheduled. And in reality given the current state of affairs in the tri-state NYC area we really don't want to go on a cruise anyway at this point. All it takes is one untested person going aboard the ship (including either myself or my wife) that has the virus as a carrier and it would spread like wildfire. I am just waiting for RCCL to cancel the cruise and hopefully offer the same cash refund that they have been offering so far.

Since I'm retired I can spend all the time behind closed doors except for the occasional run to the store to stock up on groceries. My wife on the other hand has to go to work still yet and three people in her office complex have tested positive for the Corona virus. Fortunately my wife had no direct contact with the individuals in question but even though her office HR department interviewed the three in question to see who they contacted face to face in the office they didn't take it to the next step and interview those that were contacted to see who they interacted with. That's the part I'm and she is worried about. Other than that all is well, thank God.

We had a Delta flight that we cancelled and had a credit for but yesterday I decided to try to convert it to a cash refund. The original agent said flat out no, (the original flight had been canceled but AFTER I canceled the flight) I asked to speak to a supervisor and within 5 minutes we had a cash refund back to my credit card. So persevere and ask for the supervisor and hopefully you'll get the same result I got!

Thanks for the condolences.

Right here on Long Island NY in the center of the pandemic. Just about everything is shut down tight.Grocery stores have a lot of empty shelves in many sections. Gasoline so far is easy to come by and under $2.00 a gallon for regular. A cousin of mine died last week from the virus and his wife has it as well but she is still hanging on, hoping for a good end for her. I'm retired so I'm home all the time, my wife is working from home as much as she can but she still needs to go to the office on some days, however on Friday the company sent out a e-mail saying that two people in the office contracted the virus and now I would prefer if she worked from home all the time. But she is a supervisor and has to be there the days her boss is home to keep an eye of the people under her. Tough times for all but at least we all are healthy and virus free. Our next cruise is scheduled for 5/17/19 on Oasis out of Bayonne, doubt it will go off, but will not look to cancel until Royal cancels it so hopefully we can get a cash refund.Stay well everybody and God Bless.

Rougher in the late fall (Nov) to early spring (Apr) than the rest of the year, but as has been previously stated anything is possible.
-
IF RCL would cancel my cruise I would expect at the minimum 100% cash refund of all dollars paid. If they were to offer a higher percentage as a FCC I would consider it. Or I will be at the pier in Bayonne on 5/17 waiting to board.
-
Our cruise is 5/17 on Oasis out of Bayonne. By the time the date hits and probably weeks before the rolled forward cancellations will be in effect with the refund/credit options. Not going to fret too much over what I can't control for at least now. Certainly will do nothing until Royal makes their move.
-
Agree with those who have May cruises pending and are waiting it out to see if Royal cancels at some point. Ours is 5/17 on Oasis out of Bayonne. NYC and tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) are on a total lock down now no gatherings of 10 or more. If that rule plays out until 5/17, lets say, how are you going to be able to board a ship in a terminal where only 9 or fewer can be together at once? My wife is being forced to work at home for at least 5 of the next 10 work days to minimize contact. All bars and restaurants are closed except to pick up and delivery. All casinos are closed, even the bowling lanes and libraries are closed. Schools of course are closed.

What line and what ports?
Royal, Oasis, Bahamas. (Port Canaveral, Coco Cay & Nassau.)
Anyone else feel that "Cancel up to 48 hours before you sail" is misleading?

Not misleading to me in anyway.
