  1. That is one of our thoughts in paying the balance in September only for it to be cancelled after we have paid.

ATM the cost of SanFran leg of world cruise in 2022(Aurora) is a few hundred pounds more for a deluxe balcony even with a 125% credit on 2021 cruise. 2023 price not yet available .

Although I have been to SanFran several times my OH has not and we wanted to have a week there at the end of the cruise before flying back.

Decision time for us will be 18th Sept. I will not be keen for us to have £7.5k lodged with P&O for one or two years

I must admit that scenario has been in my head for some time and adds to my quandary. Sadly, I am suspicious enough to be concerned that they might have no intention of operating the world cruise but still take our final balances as though it were...

That is a major concern for me and then having to take the difficult decision whether we cancel on 18th Sept.

There has been so much conflicting policy changes from P&O that I am not sure where we stand with our deposit amount of about £300. If we cancel will it be moved to a FCC or do we lose it?

  3. Do you think Arcadia will be able to complete her world cruise next year.

In light of CV epidemic and ports seeming to have a position of not wanting cruise ships in their waters will

P&O have got clearance from all 38 ports on the schedule by the end of this year.

I have a vested interest in that we are booked on first leg to San Fran. Balance is payable 18th Sept

  4. Thanks uktog

We have pushed the boat out(excuse the pun!)this holiday with 10 days in India before the cruise and booked

a CC suite so will get Prime C and Aqualina every night if we chose. I was trying to see if I could get definitely get the

Chefs Table as we would like to try it.

  5. We are on our first Azamara cruise departing Singapore on 12th November for 17 nights.

We have purchased the Experience More Indulgence ($1399) package which includes one meal for

    two at the Chef's Table.

I understand this can not be prebooked and we will not be boarding until about 3pm on embarkation day

What chance is there of being able to get a table booked or will we have missed out?

Is there more than one sitting each evening?

Are the three choices French, Italian, Californian available each night or are they rotated?

If they are rotated every 3 nights how do find out which is available each night?

Do people avoid the Chefs table if the ship is in port for the night?

    Many thanks for any advice

  6. I various reply's on this forum I am bit confused as to whether the following items are still included, they are currently listed

    on Azamara's on  website

    1. Turndown treats, I presume these are chocolates

    2. Use of umbrella and binoculars

    3.  Fresh cut flowers

    4. Daily fruit basket

    5. Tote bag

In practice are these still included in a suite?

  7. Like someone said you have to just take these things on the chin.

We booked a year ago for Az Quest from Singapore in Nov this year. Many months ago I noticed

they had removed a port, Porbandar, with no replacement just an extra sea day.

As drinks are included I'll do a pub crawl round the bars that day and drink the ship dry at Azamara's expense  lol!

  8. We are going on our first Azamara cruise on Quest in November, Singapore to Dubai (17 nights)

We are in a Continent suite and will have the Indulgence Experience More package which includes the Ultimate drinks

    1. Gratuities are included but does this include the butler as we have a suite or will

    he be 'expecting' something?

    2. In having the Ultimate drinks package can we order any drink from the three lists (standard, premium, ultimate)

while we are having dinner in Discoveries, Aqualina or Prime C without a charge.

Also in having this package can we get drinks delivered on room service. I know this is not allowed on the standard included package but is Ultimate treated differently?

    3. There are no formal nights on Azamara but they recommend a jacket or suit for dinner for men, can I get away with some smart trousers/pants and a long sleeved shirt?

I don't want to drag a jacket or suit around for ten days while we are India before the cruise

Also what do people wear on the Azamazing evening, it will be in Colombo

    4. Have people who have had suites had their butler unpack and pack the contents of your case, how good a job do they make of it?

    5. Are drinks included at the 'Chef's Table' evening

  9. We are due on Oceana next week (SOU to Dubai) and in 'Moments' the captain is listed as Chris Bourne.

Does anyone have comments or views on his captaincy and customer facing liaison?

Would you expect him and the other officers to be more visible as its P&O's first foray into a

season in the Middle East and therefore maybe attracting a new customer group

  10. We are due on our first Azamara cruise in Nov 19 for 17 nights

We looked at the Experience More Indulgence package.

The price quoted is $1399 My question is is this the same regardless of the length of the cruise

  11. We are A731.

If we are delayed departure by 24 hours does this mean the whole cruise will be behind, surely they can not make up this time before Madeira.

This deep low is tracking slightly further north over Ireland than had been predicted a couple of days ago

  12. I object to paying so called service reward scheme charges

When I go on holiday I expect my £1700 (A731 one way TA) to pay for the services of :

    Captain

    His mate

    Navigator

The man who cleans the bilges out

The electronic geek who sends out the SOS

The person washing my sheets and towels

The engineer desalinating my water I use

The airline pilot to get me back home

The air stewardess serving me drinks and food

    Atul Kochur

    Head chef

    Sous chef

    The bottle washer

The people who put the food out in the fast food canteen

The waiters who put plates in front of me

    Whats her name from Headliners

    pool atendants

    Grease monkeys

    My cabin steward

I find it ridiculous that this tax has gone from £3 in 2012 to £6 now. Inflation has not gone up 100%

Have the waiters and stewards had a 100% wage increase, I think not

P&O make much of what is included on a cruise including 5 course dinners, I do not expect to pay extra to have it put in front of me on the table

I will not be paying this discretionary surcharge

I will enjoy my hard earned £1700 holiday
