Thank you so much to everyone who shared their thoughts. Four of us are traveling together and looking forward to our time in both countries. My sister lived in Australia for two years (I think it was in Corrimal) in the 1970's and she taught elementary school. During breaks from school, she traveled extensively throughout Australia, New Zealand, and many places in the region. She is very excited that I will get a glimpse of the beauty of Australia and New Zealand, and, of course, experience the hospitality of people we meet.

Hello, we are spending 3 days pre-cruise in Sydney, stopping in Melbourne, and making several stops in New Zealand ports. I would like to have some local currency to cover some costs I might not put on a credit card, such as tips. I can use an ATM if I need more. How much currency should I start with for each country?

I'm trying to complete ArriveCan for a cruise whose first Canadian port is Charlottetown, but no ArriveCAN choice in the dropdown menu seem correct. Called ArriveCAN, my cruise line, and the port, but no one knows what I should select. Has anyone addressed this issue on ArriveCAN?
