Playing blackjack one night had a gentleman at the other end of the table, telling his girlfriend how wrong I was playing. Of at the time I was up almost $1500. Asked him how he was doing said he was down about $2000. Had all I could to not laugh out loud.

I just got off the Victory yesterday. It is in great shape. I was on Lido deck 9, and my room was renovated and beautiful.
Food was as good as remembered. (I havent been on carnival for 14 years) Selections are limited but good.
Entertainment was top notch!! We loved David Brennan in the lobby bar, Andy Hackbarth in the Piano Bar, and both stage shows were amazing.
It was prime spring break crowd, so it was about 80% college kids, so I felt bad for the staff. I do not think there were a lot of newer cruisers that understood how hard the staff works and did not tip accordingly. A few incidents were the kids could not hold their booze, but the staff and security was quick to resolve and take care of it.
Was there a delay in getting on the ship?

Hi everyone! I will be on the Victory on April 17th in room 6224. This will be my 10th Carnival cruise, but first with the new updated cabins. Do they have a electrical outlet in the bathroom now?
Hey neighbor! We will be in 6366! Should be a great trip!

Jay, I looked up via Google major school systems and colleges around the USA. Most are out of school the week prior to the 16th.

My fiancé did her bachelorette party as a cruise on Carnival and saw no kids and it was on a weekend. Hmm.

Hmm. What state? I looked up most states and everyone I could find besides Massachusetts had theirs before Easter.

Possibly. I looked up college spring breaks and most seem to happen in March

I'm thinking our cruise will be relatively quiet with it being Monday through Friday and kids still in school.

Hi,
Is there a easier way to tell how full a ship will be prior to sailing other than going to Carnival's website and doing a fake booking?
Im going on the Victory on April 17 and it LOOKS like there are lots of rooms open, but I could be wrong.
Thanks!

We also booked the Victory for our honeymoon as it was super affordable even for a balcony and it fit our post-wedding schedule perfectly.

Maybe that's all they can afford Riclop, no need to be a Judgey McJudgey face.

Hehe. We both value our "alone time", so there will be times when we want to do some things on our own.

Hello all,
Nice to be here. I will be heading on my first cruise in April 2017 on the Carnival Victory out of Miami. It will be our honeymoon, but my fiance has been on 4 cruises. So she is not new at this.
I am looking forward to eating as much as I possibly can and playing Blackjack. I heard the minimums on Carnival cruises are $5. This seems right up my alley.
I am curious if anyone here had any tips in terms of first time cruising in terms of gambling. Is it easier to gamble away your funds on a cruise casino than a regular casino?
Thanks for your help and looking forward to heading on my first of many cruises!

Thanks for your review. I will be on my first cruise in April. Looking forward to it. How did you like the Staff on your boat? Were they friendly?

Ocean Air Shrinkage is a thing? I have never heard of this. Too wild!
Craziest/strangest/funniest thing you have seen a passenger do on a cruise ship?
