  1. I got some giggles - last Cruise Panama - in my favorite spot - smoking area - we had Miss Texas (that's what my daughter and I called her and she was from Texas) - she complained about anything and everything. It was amusing - gave us a lot of giggles and made us ever so grateful that we were not like that. I really do feel bad for the staff that have to put up with whiners but from what I have seen on my many cruises is that the staff have creative ways in dealing with the negative people - and just watching the staff causes me to slide that extra tip their way - going on a Japan cruise in July - cant wait to remember the stupid complaints so I can post and give you all a giggle or two

  2. I was so hoping someone new would post on this thread - hope someone will be able to answer my question - My daughter really wants to see the Oryukdo Sky Walk but I can not figure out how we could get there - I dont mind paying a taxi - but google maps says there in not route and I really dont want to ride the buses.

  3. I have been on a lot of cruises - the one in July will be first on Princess - so my question is just not for Princess but tipping in general. I dont prepay but HAVE NEVER disputed the suggested gratuity - I have tipped extra to my pool boy and room steward - because that's who I saw on a daily basis. My awesome pool waiter on Holland - I saw him again and actually brought him a Christmas gift. In my much younger years - I worked as a waitress and thus I believe in tipping and rather heavy at times - depending on service. Now my question that will get some angry - my last cruise (15 days) we went to DR 1 time - why should the DR waiter get same portion of tip if he didn't wait on us ? I leave extra cash tips for pool side waiter, steward and the lady at the coffee house - and am of the opinion that I am on vacation - so lets blow some money - but if I am not using a service I am tipping for - what should I do - if the answer is suck it up cupcake - I am ok with that

  4. April Caribbean Princess. At the time of booking' date=' I had to book a higher category than I would have chosen as the one I would have booked was "sold out." They've obviously reshuffled inventory as what I originally intended to book has now been available for a couple of weeks. The category I did book for $1369pp. was available yesterday for $799, the "sold out" category was available for $699. These prices were changing a couple of times a day last week.

I'm only checking because a little birdie told me that IF they drop the price of what I booked and I call about it, they might toss a little OBC our way. That wouldn't be bad since this booking includes no perks of any sort. I've about given up on that happening though.

We did get a good deal on air, which has increased significantly since we booked.[/quote']

If you have NOT COMPLETELY paid for the cruise - you can get the cheaper price - I saw that out Japan cruise went down a total of 1,000 - called my travel agent and got the netter price that day - lost the prepaid gratuities but gained a 300 credit for both of us
