Day 2 San Diego:

E won a bottle of bubbly playing a game where you had to guess the year a song came out! Go E!!

Another Romeo update. My TA told us to report what had happened to Guest services. I did but explained that I was surprised by the service we were receiving and that we had NEVER had an issue with Princess staff before. I told him I know how hard everyone works and that I usually tip upfront and at the end of each cruise, and make it a point to mention a good word on my survey. He was very apologetic, and said he would discretely take care of things. I told him it was not his fault but that we were nervous that there might be retaliation if handled wrong. He assured us that that would not happen. He was very kind. At the end of the night we brought back bottles of water which were free from the bar. We had two bottles of wine as a trade out for the mini bars and more water in the fridge. Hopefully this is a good sign. ☺️

She was blown away when she walked in the room then screamed in amazement when she went on the balcony. All day she said, “I can’t believe this balcony!”

Update on Romeo. So I went back to the cabin and ran into him. I introduced myself and asked him about switching out the two mini bars. He started taking everything including our suite bottles of water. I told him to please leave the suite waters and he argued with me saying that he needs to take everything! I reminded him that suites get two bottles of water. He continued to argue so I said to just take them. I can get them at the bar. Seriously though?? I was going to give him my regular pre-tip of $50 but pulled that back. I’m shocked.

This is the first suite cruise where I have not yet met my cabin steward. I’ve heard rumors that his name is Romeo but who knows. I’ve called to ask for our 2 mini bars to be switched out, extra towels, robes and an ice bucket. I actually went to the suite lounge and brought our own ice bucket to our suite. Very different from past cruises.

I can’t answer your questions because we live 30 minutes from the port. We just park right at the port close to the ship. $20 a day.

You never know. We got the upgrade for $200!

Don’t ask.. it’s an E thing. Hit up every raffle. Ah well.😂
