  1. Very grateful that they have the meetings every day. I don't think there has been a cruise I was on where I didn't meet some good people at those Friends of Bill meetings. Been to ones on Celebrity where there was only one or two of us and others where there were 25+

I had booked my first cruise with Celebrity in early 1997 well before I got sober in 1998, and I think I was one month sober when I boarded the Mercury in 1998. Thank goodness for the nice people that reached out to me on the Friends of Bill meeting, and watched over and were there for me when I needed it.

All complete strangers, helping someone and showing compassion for each other and especially reaching out to me in a pretty fragile point. Truly some beautiful people in this world.

I have wondered as well!! Thank you for sharing and to the OP for asking!

  2. I always felt fortunate as I never had any issues with the website but read posts from others who had many issues. In the last 6 months I've had constant issues. Seems that would indicate the website is getting worse, not better. Last issue had me on the edge of cancelling all my current bookings (think the patience factor is going with age ). For those who want to post about how they feel everything has gone downhill I personally still can't find the same amenities/service for the $$ (guess I could cook and clean myself.....pass while on vacation ) Agree that it is not the magical experience (took me 10 years to get my DH on a cruise) I remember from our first Galaxy cruise but still my vacation of choice.....for now.

While I'm on my soap box..Celebrity... Please get your website act together!

  3. Same problem here all of a sudden on my iPad but if I select Menu (top left), Cruise Planner and then Find Your Reservation ( don't log in using your User Name or you will have the same problem) it works. Kinda a pain with multiple booking but.....it worked.

And it is ironic they have a problem with Apple products

  4. On the 12/1 preview sailing but keep getting " Sorry, we cannot reserve this right now" when trying to book speciality dining. Have tried logging in with user ID and reservation #, same issue. Anyone else experience this issue? Gotta love Celebrity's website! :')

  5. Thing that is kinda digging in my crawl is I feel like (can't validate just feels like) Celebrity was selling cabins on the Dec 1st cruise well before they decided to notify Dec 3rd folks. When I went to look for a Infinite balcony yesterday, only guaranteed cabin available. Found that odd. Oh well, will definitely find a less expensive option  It's their business and it's just that, a business. Still have yet to find a better value that we enjoy more!

  6. Well, darn it! Just got the call. December 3rd 3 day preview sailing cancelled. So sad as it was a total surprise for my DH and aligned nicely with an Infinity booking which would have allowed 2 days in Ft Lauderdale between the two. On to planning something else I guess, probably a lot cheaper and he won't even know anything is different so there's the glass half full :D

  7. Good idea about booking your Edge as a new sailing. We knew that we were going to cancel the original booking we had made due to some work events changing and we had transferred our reservation to a large TA so if I canceled I would have been out $100 to the agent. We booked the Edge on the day the previews were listed so we got all 4 perks for less than the cruise only price is now and the agent gave us another $150 so we still ended up with plenty of OBC, although I would have been very willing to accept more had we been able to keep the $ we had from booking onboard.

Well darn! We got NO perks when we booked and the per day rate when I add a drink package and grats is way past my normal limit for a balcony room but it's a surprise for my DH (he thinks we are on Infinity for a 5 day which we are a couple of days later 😂). Guess my consolation prize is the cruise after was a crazy deal for Aqua so average of the whole trip is okay.

As I like to say.....Can't take it with me and don't plan on giving it away or leaving it behind!!

  8. Good to know, thanks! Funny, had the same experience moving an onboard to an Edge 3 day preview. Once I figured it out a few days later (no mention by the rep on the phone) I had it changed back to original so I retained the OBC and booked Edge as a new booking. Took a few minutes but new rep totally got it done! Perfect example to use as you advise. Doesn't seem right to take but not give

  9. Would you happen to have pictures of the balcony? I’ve read some of these rooms the balconies are larger and deeper. I’m trying to figure out if mine is the smaller of all the hump balconies.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

1st and 3rd cabins off the hump are the largest, 9215 and 9209. So 9207 would be next largest. Still very nice size.
