By no means am I an expert on Alaska fishing. If you just want to catch any kind of fish then either place should work. If you want to catch Salmon then a private charter in Ketchikan is likely your best choice.

I would recommend staying the day after cruise as you should be rested. That's my plan this time.

Last year on cruise out of Venice my flight was delayed and got to Venice 12 hours late and missed the whole day site seeing. So my trip to Barcelona this year I'm staying a day extra to be sure I get to site see.

Yes it will be chilly til almost Cabo. I fish out of San Diego and water temps are down this year and that has a big effect on air temps.

One analyst downgraded, likely his buddies decided to short the stock and they wanted to give them some help. Unfortunately these shenanigans happen all the time and the little guy gets short changed a little here and there.
