  1. Your room steward can get you an iron and ironing board. They only let you keep it a short while (since it is a fire hazard). So,,, plan on getting your ironing done quickly. The ship's laundry also offers pressing on embarkation day for a 50% discount.

    Good Morning,

Is this 50% on all sailings?

  3. Don't be too nervous - we still had a great cruise! It's a very pretty ship, just a strange design in places. The food and entertainment were top notch. It has some cool little features, like the bridge-viewing room, that other ships don't have.

We had a lot of luck by trying to time things a little outside of peak times. We also made reservations prior to the cruise for shows and dining, and the comedy shows once we got on the ship. We spent the day on the ship in port a couple times, and that allowed us to really enjoy the pool deck. If you're in decent shape, we never took elevators down, and used the stairs if we were only going up a deck or two - that helped us navigate the elevator issue.

We saw lots of people having a great time - I'm sure you will, too!

    thanks again

  4. No picture, sorry, but if you go to the NCL Epic's webpage, and do the 360 degree tour of the inside cabin, you can see where it is just above the top drawer on the desk/sink/vanity area (right above the stool) - it came out about as far as the stool sticks out. We ended up sticking the stool in the closet so it would be out of the way.

    thank you for the reply!

  5. Make sure you ask your cabin steward to keep you overstocked with coffee. I can't answer your question exactly. We sailed on the Epic in Nov 2014 in a mini-suite and it was a 4-cup drip coffee maker with small bags of grounds.

We sailed on the Epic in Oct 2015 (right after the Epic's dry dock), but in Havens. I know that switched out the coffee makers in the suites. I don't know if they switched from the 4-cup coffee maker to the 1 cup coffee maker in the Balconies (which is what they are using in many of the big ships).

    Here are your two possibilities

    Thank you!

  6. Hi, Robin. We might be on the same cruise - April 1 Orlando to Barcelona? I'm not sure what EBTA stands for. Anyway, since no one has answered your question I thought I would tell you what I know. I have asked several folks who have just gotten off the Epic and had a balcony cabin and they said it's the one cup kind that takes a round soft paper-mesh sort of filter - not a Kcup. They are like Senseo and Hamilton Beach. The steward will supply them for you but if you are a very particular coffee drinker you might not like the coffee. I'm taking Melitta coffee pods that I ordered on-line. I can't imagine 13 mornings with bad coffee!

Hello yes that is our cruise as well...EBTA

    E : East B : bound T: Trans A: Atlantic...

Should be a great cruise , this is our third one, 1st time on Norwegian , we normally cruise with Disney

    Robin & Angel

  7. we always travel on Disney [over 20 cruises] with my CPAP & Holmes Lil Blizzard 8" fan/ not to mention the electronic we have to charge/ I talked to NCL rep and was told not to forget my extension cord due to the fact the the outlet is on the other side of the cabin as the bed/ you should not have any problems.

  8. hello follow Epic cruisers...we are going on the EBTA in April...

for those that have cruised on the Epic/ what type of coffee pot is in the rooms?/ I am in a B6 cat. / What I am really asking, what type of pods/ ground pods does the coffee maker use? we are huge coffee drinkers/ and love our coffee on the balcony / looking to get more coffee for the room or will the crib steward provide me with what I need?

    thank you in advance

  9. Yes, this was on the Epic. I have a Samsung Note 10.1 Tablet with an IR(infrared) blaster built in that allows the tablet to act like a TV remote. I used a universal remote app from the play store.

thank you for the quick reply

  10. I was able to hook up my tablet via a 90 degree HDMI adapter to the back of the TV. This was in an inside in 2013 and I just removed the ships HDMI cable and plugged mine in. In an aft balcony in 2014, I plugged into the side of the TV and was able to change the input with the IR blaster on my tablet. I don't know if the TVs are still the same as they were a few years ago. It was nice to watch a few movies off the tablet, but I don't even bother anymore. All the cabins I've stayed in had Samsung TVs up to November of last year.

    This was on the Epic....

I always travel with these types of adaptors myself/ due to the fact you never know.

the app you are talking about [iR blaster] is it for all TV's?

IR blaster is the name of the app?

    thank you for this info

  11. Just off the Epic -inside cabin- and we were able to take the tv off its hooks, attach wires ( red, yellow white plugs ) for dvd player and just replaced the tv

    Safe sailing

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Forums mobile app

thank you for this info, do you remember what kind of TV it was?

was the TV remote the OEM remote that came with the TV?

  12. Based on observation, they are mounted so close to the wall that I doubt you would be able to connect. :(

No connection on the side of the TV?

Would you happen to know the brand of TV

So the TV's are not on a swivel I take it....
