We always aimed for deck 7 to go between stern and aft. Our cabin was aft C deck; we'd walk down the aft stairs to deck 7 then go all the way along past Sindhu and the photography bit to the atrium then go downstairs to deck 5 and carry on that way to get to the stern. Can't wait to go back on her as navigation will be so much easier. Fortunately we don't need to use the lifts so we very rarely did, we never used them during high activity periods.

Me too, I’m such a happy lady today 🤗🏝🛳🤗

Hope Britannia is sailing the Caribbean in Dec 2019 as I have a special birthday I need to book for.

Pre registration is 12th March, general release sales 21st March. I think top tier sales are released around the 19th March to book.

Hello, please could anyone tell me if I can buy Christian Dior hypnotic poison and Clarins beauty flash balm on Brittannia. Can I also buy aerosol spray sun lotion on the ship (do they have a Boot's shop or similar)? I'm looking to save weight on baggage allowance.
Thank you.

Thank you for the advice

If you need to know for sure, then I suggest you contact the insurer directly for confirmation. Hopefully it is included.
My partner spoke to them, they assured him it's all on there but I was just being cautious as although verbally they've stated it's included it's not listed on their generic online information. I'm presuming they will send out paperwork to confirm everything in writing but I need to pay my balance today.

Just cancelled my cruise for Nov 2018 and brought it forward to Nov this year. I'm super excited but disappointed to see no roll call on here for that cruise
Any members on here boarding Britannia November 10/11th, heading to the Caribbean? Also wondering if anyone has an opinion on cabin C732 :D

Does anyone else have travel insurance with Barclays Bank? Partner has been assured that the travel insurance pack he's added includes cruise cover for all the specific things that could go wrong on a cruise (cancelled cruise, late disembarkation, missed ports etc), but when I look online at their general information it only mentions; winter sport, golf and business cover as additional optional extras. Need to pay my final balance today so need to know for sure if the travel insurance we have covers us.

I received the email this morning and have seen the menu which looks quite extensive
I also received this email, please could you tell me where you found the extensive menu? My email didn't have an attachment with said menu.

If you can wait until the end of May I can give you an answer; that's the cabin we are in!
I did a search for the cabin number before booking last September and nothing came up.
We chose it because there shouldn't be much passing traffic on the corridor and isn't far from the aft stairwell.
My wife does worry about all sorts of things so I'm not going to mention this concern to her.
This is exactly why I booked a cabin at the back :) Would certainly like to hear of your experience, we don't sail until November 2018.
I messaged the woman and she said she was in it on a mini cruise to Bruge and the water was choppy so I'm hoping its just that and we wont have choppy water in the Caribbean next November :D

Thanks for the replies guys. Florry, it sounds like this may have been what happened to the poster on the other site.

Just seen comments from a woman on a different site regarding cabin C731 on Britannia saying it was horrendous to stay in and caused her whole body to vibrate on a night. I've asked her why but had no response, could anyone think what she means by her comment? Should I be worried? I booked this cabin on select fare for Nov 2018 in the Caribbean.

Does the same discount apply to NHS patients? ;)
:')

I just rang P&O, they've been able to swop my pre-register over to book today. The B deck cabin I wanted had indeed gone :( but she got me a C deck cabin directly below the one I wanted, so not all bad. I won't ever pre-register again though, lesson learned!
-
Just done a dummy booking on P&O and the cabin I want doesn't come up :(
Peed off dot com!!!
-
Do you know how long I could expect to wait for an email?
-
I've paid my deposit, so don't think I can :(

Hi guys, does anyone know how long the confirmation email takes to come through following pre-registration? I pre-registered last week and was told to ring up at 8am this morning to pick my cabin. However, when I rang at 8.20 this morning, I was told that I couldn't pick the cabin and that I had to wait for the confirmation email which would contain a reference number and an allocated cabin, if I wasn't happy with this allocated cabin I could call up at ask to change to the one I want but the longer the time that passes the likelihood is that the cabin I want will be gone. I'm so frustrated as had I not pre-registered and just rang to book today I could probably have just picked the cabin number I wanted anyway :(
I've offered to do an extra shift at work today too, start at 12.00, so can't access any emails after that, so even more time will pass :loudcry: Prices are also still the same (I was told they'd increase on general release day) so I really cant see the benefit of pre-registering at all.
-
No need for the attitude! I was only trying to help and I also work full time (for the NHS so you can imagine how my working day goes!).
Did you know you can get 5% discount for being an NHS worker? I found out today, called P&O to amend my booking as I'm also an NHS employee.

Strange that, I find that my TA fills me with far more confidence than any PO cruise consultant would. After all TA's Need to sell the cruises otherwise they earn no commission, PO sales agents are salaried and therefore will be far less motivated to help you.
Clearly the naïve first time cruiser didn't know this
-
If I had the confidence to go with a TA (after trawling round finding a reputable one) then I would, however, I don't so as a first timer I've stuck with what I've deemed safe and booked direct. Its a shame this website won't let the seasoned cruisers disclose who they use for us newbies.
Carnival cancelling Antigua port of call
in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Posted
Its my husbands 40th birthday the day we'll be in Antigua this December; I do hope this port is still on the itinerary as I'm booking the extreme circumnavigation as a private tour independent of P&O. Does anyone know how I would find out prior to boarding if the Brit will still be going to Antigua?
