We're going on our first river cruise with Serena from Vilshofen to Budapest in June. Really appreciate hearing about experiences and tips anyone might have.

HI! A friend and I just booked the June 1 cruise. Are you on that one? My first river cruise so I'm open to any info.

We are going into Munich a couple days early (been there 3 times). Looking forward to Budapest!

It was Quiet, nicely located near forward elevators BUT

REEKED OF CIGARETTE SMOKE each night from 10 or 11, until 1:30 or so.

Guest Services had engineers look at ventilation and said they couldn't find anything wrong, BUT it was directly below the casino. Obvious t

I've been on two Windstar cruises as a solo and had a fabulous time! People are very friendly and due to the small size of the ships you will see them often. I suggest asking the Dining room manager to seat you at a large table where they will seat other people. Many of them are solo, or they will be people interested in making new friends..... on both cruises, my tablemates and I dined together for the rest of the cruise. You will love the Wind Surf!

Thank you, kevg, for your wonderful reports! I will be cruising on the Star inOctober, to a few of the same ports so the info is much appreciated. Nice to know that the ship has some fun bars to enjoy. I hope you've recovered from the shiner!
