  1. Yes there is parking at the Cape Liberty port. It is very convenient and I believe the cost is around $19 per day.

Parked there last week. Very easy. Unfortunately, it’ll set you back $20/day now.

OP, you’ll be given a paper ticket when you arrive. Payment is collected when your cruise is over. Take the ticket with you on your cruise and pay at the kiosk after you disembark the ship and arrive back at the parking garage.

  2. We just sailed on Adv. last week and were lucky enough to have two connecting rooms. This was the first time our family of four (kids 10 and 3) sailed in two rooms and we enjoyed it so much that we’ll probably do it from now on if we can find the right price.

It was so worth it to us for reasons that others have already mentioned.

•Two bathrooms made it very quick easy to get showered and ready in the morning as well as everyone to get showered and changed after a long day at the beach.

•Drink package for only one adult if that better suits your needs.

•Four bottles of wine rather than two.

•A separate sleeping area that can remain dark and quiet for one of the kids (or adults!) to take a nap should the need arise.

•More storage space for unpacking clothes, etc.

•This last one is minor, but a second TV so the kids could each watch a different show before going to bed for the night.

After considering the money we saved on having to buy only one drink package rather than two this second room was almost the same exact cost as one room and two drink packages. If anything, less than $100 more.

  3. We are doing exactly what you suggest next month.

Family of four with one adult and one child in each of the connecting staterooms.

Only the adult in room #1 has deluxe beverage package. I was able to book this with no problems at all. /quote]

And as an added bonus' date=' you get to bring four bottles of wine, two for each cabin.[/quote']

    Yes indeed!!!

  4. The a/c does very little. Almost nothing.

To avoid all the issues (particularly as you don't give a total number of people involved), why not just book a Villa, rather than a cabana? The whole a/c issue, shade, etc, will be better in the Villas.

I agree the AC does very little. But I found the misting fan to be very enjoyable!

  5. Mind if I ask when you plan to travel?

If it's during peak season, I would really reconsider your plans to go to Disney. As another poster mentioned, waits for certain attractions can be 2-3 hours. There are also times during the week of Christmas that the parks reach capacity by noon and they won't even allow anyone else in.

This is a handy guide that I find to be fairly accurate: https://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/crowd-calendar/

We’ll be there June 24th of this year. I do appreciate any and all advice from everyone here. While I do agree that our time in the park will be very limited, for us, this visit will just be a “quick fix”. We’ve been to Disney many times an we’re familiar with the potential for long lines. We use Fast Pass to its maximum potential and choose not to wait in any of the Standyby lines.

You are 100% correct though, for anyone looking to experience one of the parks and all they have to offer, especially for a first-time visitor, it would be a huge disappointment if done during a cruise stop in Port Canaveral.

We have realistic expectations for this short visit so our intention is not to blaze a trail through all of Magic Kingdom hitting every attraction. We have our list of favorites and we’ll stick to those. As I mentioned above, I do sincerely appreciate all comments and advice no matter if they are in favor or opposition. Thank you very much for the fair warning as I’m sure it will help others that might read this thread in the future.

  6. Count me as one of the crazies that’s choosing to visit Disney during our stop in Port Canaveral.

We’ll also be on Adventure. The ship is scheduled to be in port from 12:00noon to 9:00pm. We hope to arrive at the park by 1:30 and leave at 6:30 which would put us back in Port Canaveral around 8pm.

I do have a question for the experts here. I notice the route between the port and Orlando include toll roads. Are there cash lanes on these toll roads?

  7. For my Anthem cruise in April, they are not selling online, but are quoting $309. I guess $400 Is coming soon.

So which one is actually better the bungalows or the cabanas?

If they are not selling online for your April cruise it likely means they are sold out.

Can’t comment on bungalows-vs.-cabanas. It will be our first time at Coco Cay. Have a great cruise!

  8. What are the current prices for the Cabana?

Love the Majesty, and would love to get out to Coco on her one more time before Enchantment replaces her.

I’ve seen them as low as $219, and as high as $294 for my AdventureOTS sailing.

  9. I don’t have an answer to your exact question, only a few pieces of advice regarding your predicament.

    1. The cabanas were relocated several months ago to thier new beachfront location. Verify any comments you may get are applicable to the new location, not the previous location near the rocky shoreline.

    2. Check your cruise planner, and check it often. I recently cancelled a 2nd cabana that I had booked in anticipation of another family joining us on our cruise. Turns out they can’t make it so the 2nd cabana was of no use to us. Fingers crossed one becomes available for you.

  10. I buried my treasure at cabana #11 :D Looking at the cabana, it is on the left side of the stairs. I will post a couple of photos in the next couple of days of X marks the spot !! I hope someone finds it and posts here :D

That’s great news! Thanks for playing along!

Did you happen to find another treasure at #11?

We buried one in what sounds like the same exact spot in August. At the time, it was right beneath some rocks that were each about the size of a dinner plate.

  11. I would agree with Bruce.

I have no experience with the villas. But we have rented the smaller Cabanas at Half Moon and thought they were worth every penny! On our most recent visit it happened to be a very hot day. The shade and misting fan were a godsend. The fresh fruit, cold drinks and refrigerator were also welcomed perks.

  12. There was an envelope in our room when we arrived with the shore excursion ticket and a note to stop by guest services to select a cabana. They asked us to be there by 7:00pm he first night. I missed it, and didn't go down until the afternoon of Day 2. It was one of the last ones left, and originally I was disappointed we didn't get one in the front row. In the end, I would take our same cabana in a heartbeat. Being in the front was not needed, and being on the end afforded us a great view.

    Off the side.

Ok great. Thank you for the info. Cabana #1 looks perfect.

  13. Thank you for the new cabana info cruisinfromtampa!! This is exactly what I've been waiting for. This has me looking forward to our June sailing even more now!

With regard to the pricing, I was kind of surprised to see how much variation there was in cabana prices. We booked one for $219. Then a few months later we booked a second one because there would be more people in our group sailing with us. The second one cost $294. Kind of a bummer but at least we got it. They are now sold out for our sailing.

  14. We will be at HMC on Nov 2 and hoping to participate! Is #11 the only one with treasure so far? We are platinum and have high hopes of picking a cabana in the 9-12 range.

Hi again! (I'm the same person that responds to your hammock question)

Yes, as far as I know #11 is the only one so far. So glad you have decided to play along!

Also, if you're wondering, #11 was perfect for us. It's at the relatively quiet end of the beach, close to restrooms, and the deck was shaded by the surrounding trees well into the afternoon. Whichever cabana you choose, it's sure to be a wonderful day. Enjoy!

  15. I will be traveling with a young teen with autism who loves to swing. I have been thinking we would like to ask for 10 or above. Do all of these cabanas have a hammock, or should we ask for a certain one?

To the best of my knowledge, all of the cabanas have a hammock next to them. But I'm not sure they are exclusively for Cabana guests. We were recently at HMC and reserved Cabana #11. The hammock near our cabana was used by various guests throughout the day including us.

By the way, here's a fun thread you and your young teen might be interested in:

    Have a great cruise!!!

  16. Just posted this on another thread. It seems the cabanas have been moved. They now offer beachfront access. This is a great improvement in my opinion!

ETA: ok it seems the link is not working. Not sure why. I found this info on the the Royal Caribbean Blog. It was posted on 08/21/2017 so it seems the info is fairly new. If you Google: "waterfront cabanas at Coco Cay" it should be near the top of the search results.
