  1. We sailed on the summit in a corner FV two years ago.  We found that it took up so much space that we had the smaller one as a bed, one kid slept on the couch, and our youngest slept in the middle of the bed between us.  That said, they will come in and take down the foldout bed everyday.  We just found that it was super uncomfortable anyways and was in the way at the times we were in the room, so we opted for a different sleeping arrangement.

  2. I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find the answer.  On an internet package that allows for example 2 devices, is it that any 2 devices can be online at any one time and later I could switch devices, or is there something that ties a "device" to the account such that you can't change.  What I'm wondering is whether I can use it on my phone, and then log out and use it on my laptop?

If it makes a difference, we are sailing on Millenium in August.

    Thanks in advance!

I have been reading great reviews about Glacier Wind for years and I can't wait to get to Icy Strait on this trip.

We were in 1141 Aqua last week DE03EE3D-228C-4AF5-A94C-F5E28358DA21.thumb.jpeg.6dc0589e6d3f5b2b35cdd27d13c2d00d.jpegat the very aft.  Here is a pic of our balcony.  2 chairs, no footstools, 1 lounger and, although not in the pic a small table.  Table is to short/little to be suitable for having a room service meal.

Thanks for the picture.  My balcony is larger in the C1 aft so I'm still hoping to have a table that we can sit at and enjoy room service or coffee!

  4. Hi Everyone --  We are booked in a C1 aft balcony on Millenium in August (with the large extended balcony).  I haven't been able to locate any pictures of furniture on the balconies in these rooms since the refurbishment.  The point of getting these is to have the extra space which includes the furniture including loungers and the table/chairs!  I've been underwhelmed at the balcony pictures I've seen after refurb from other rooms on the ship.  I'm wondering if anyone has been able to find any pictures of any of the aft balconies on either of these ships to give some idea of what they may look like now.  Thanks in advance!!!

  5. Hi, just curious as to your cabin "arrangements" as we are also thinking of a family cruise on HAL - Was there a significant discount for 3 or 4 in cabin or because of the < 13 age? Or are the kids in their own room (with 3rd person cheaper?) Or is there some other cutoff on HAL? Thanks!

We have 2 cabins, and I think HAL requires an adult in each cabin. I don't think the under 13 age made any difference.... that person is still a person and seemed to price the same way regardless of who I put in which cabins. There is a price break for the 3rd and 4th person in a cabin.

What did make a difference in price, however, was to be extremely flexible in cabin selection and we gave up the idea of having cabins near each other (much less adjoining). We saved about $3000 on our cruise by choosing one specific veranda cabin that my husband and the 2 boys are in, and then did a guarantee veranda cabin for my daughter and I. As it turns out, the hubby and boys are on deck 6, and my daughter and I will be on deck 4 but we are all near the same elevator. This even was less expensive than having the one veranda plus an inside cabin. We don't mind having to walk a bit between cabins and having some inconvenience for that much savings.

  6. Help from all of you experienced HAL cruisers needed! We won't be buying a beverage package because it doesn't make sense for us. Do we have to buy beverage cards??? Or can we just charge purchases to the room? The way I see it, there could be money "left on the table" by using a beverage card, multiplied by 5 (the number in our party).

If you can charge to the room, what is the advantage of the beverage card?

    Thanks!

  7. Yes, we've checked in and boarded and then gotten back off to walk around the area. Don't forget to bring your boarding documents though. And check the last boarding time -- I would think that 4 or even 3:30 would be too late a return for a 4:30 departure. Usually you have to be on board much earlier at the departure port than at a regular port call.

We are new cruisers....is there anything anywhere that say what time you have to be back on board??
