Hi, I know this is an older thread but I was wondering if you could tell me if there are plenty of hangers in the solo cabins? And room to hang dresses?
-
It seems there are two floors to the lounge. Is there a main floor? Traveling on Nov. 18 and again on Dec. 23, and I am curious. Thanks, I am really looking forward to the cruises and meeting people!
I'm a solo traveler on the 18th as well!! Can't WAIT to meet new people! Since we'll be there during Thanksgiving I hope our group can have a nice meal together.

I was reading this post and it started back in 2012...this may have been before the time of solo cabins! With that being said it must be somewhat impossible to hide your solo since the solo cabins on NCL have a separate lounge for us! Guess the advice would be to NOT give out your room number!
Also, with all the issues in Mexico with drinks being spiked by bartenders I wonder if this ever happens on the cruise ships?
-
Can I add to this question? I wondered the same thing, I will be on the Epic in November.

We always exchange for fresh before returning to our cabin. That way we don't have wet ones laying around. If you are using the towels on an excursion, they usually have a towel exchange set up outside the ship, so you can exchange for fresh clean ones before you re-board. Many times we start cruises with only 2 in our cabin even though there are 3 of us. We simply mention it to the steward and he brings another.
Glad we can get fresh ones whenever we need them. I'm in a solo cabin but hope to get 2 towels because that's what I like to use on my lounge chair!

I am on the 11/18 sailing and they have one or 2 on there. I booked with an outside tour operator for my excursion in Grand Cayman.

Hey thank you, that was quite helpful!

Starting to think about packing for my trip....do they provide pool/beach towels in your room or do you grab them at the pool? What about when you go on an excursion that requires a towel?
-
I too am going solo but in November. I booked the pass because I love the spa plus it looks like a great place to get away from the crowds.
I do have 2 questions....1. on embarkation day what time can we go in there? 2. are there hygiene products supplied in the locker room?

Hopefully this is ok for me to post, if the link does not work go to google maps and put in Bahamas Nassau Cruise Terminal as your starting point and you can create a walking map from there.
Thank you SO much for this map and the word doc! I can't wait to explore!

Hello, my cruise ports have changed and I will be stopping in Nassau on my birthday. I'm a bit overwhelmed with trying to plan my excursions "last minute" so I wondered if anyone on here could help.
I'm traveling solo and don't want to spend a lot of money at this port. Is there something fun and safe I could do? My two feet are capable of walking (if it's safe)!
Thank you in advance.

We just got back from Nassau after a cruise last week. I put together a walking tour that made a circle from the port to Queen's Staircase. The staircase was amazing and so beautiful. So glad we went there. We had about 10 other folks join us on the walk. The fort and views were wonderful and we felt very safe the whole time. We headed back to port by walking down the street that was really festive looking where the Drawbridge Bakery is located and turned right at the end of the road which took us past the police station then on to Government Square and around to the big catholic church. We went past this adorable Greek Orthodox Church with such beautiful wooden doors and ended near the British Colonial Hilton. Took us about 3 hours total to walk and we all were glad we did this. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for something inexpensive to do in Nassau to plan a walk. You can go to mapquest and it gives you the option to do walking directions. Just keep adding the places you want to walk past and it will plan your route.
Do you still have a copy of that map? I'd like to look at the walking tour but don't know much about Nassau

Awe man, I knew it was Grand Cayman but not sure why I put Turk!
This is inaccurate. The email has arrived from NCL and shows:
Sat - Port Canaveral
Sun - Nassau, Bahamas
Mon- At Sea
Tues - Falmouth, Jamaica
Wed - George Town, Grand Cayman
Thur - At Sea
Fri - Great Stirrup Cay
According to the email this will be the schedule for the former Eastern Caribbean itineraries through the end of Feb 2018, at least.

I bought the thermal suite pass for my sailing in November. Three questions I have....what are the hours? Do they provide alcoholic beverage or can I bring some in? A nice glass of wine would be enjoyable while relaxing! And is swimwear required? I don't want to walk in there and people be in their birthday suits!
-
I contacted the cruise line last night because the update on Monday still only lists the Escape itinerary change. My bet is we follow that same plan....Falmouth, Grand Cayman and Costa Maya.
-
I'm so heartbroken at all the devastation but grateful not many lives lost. I hope the cruise lines still go into the ports this year so our tourist dollars can help them rebuild. They need us more now than ever.
A post on FB last night said CGB was 80% lost.

hi blue_water, I was wondering if you could assist with a question? I'll be in Tortola with NCL Epic in November. We have a full day there and I needed my Soggy Dollar fix so I booked Rebel Yell through the cruise line. We will return early afternoon. I'm wondering what else I can do to "kill time" before having to be back on the ship?
-
We are also on this cruise with you....where are you finding the excursions already posted? They aren't showing up for me! Would love to explore our options!
They only have a few posted right now. The majority of excursions will open up about 90 days prior. I just knew from reading the forums on here about the Rebel Yell trip. Can't wait to book! Lisa

Wow $17 for a dark and stormy! That's crazy
But thank you for posting, now I'm thirsty. LOL
Darn I like those!

A few questions about being in Port in Tortola. Will be in port on November 21st from 8-6. Looking into the JVD excursion through NCL but wondered if this excursion will only have NCL guests on board? If this is a half day excursion what is there to do on Tortola to fill in the time before cruise departure? How much to tip the tour guides?
-
If you take Rebel Yell and they drop you at Soggy can you walk the island?
-
I am bringing an empty water bottle or two. You can fill them up at the bars or ask your room attendant to bring you a fresh pitcher of water each day and fill it up in your room. I'm sure there are other areas to get fresh water without spending the money on the package.

Thank you for this nice review! I worry about getting lost on such a big ship!

Thank you for the post. I'm in room 12531. It's not a connecting room and I can't tell on the deck plan what I'm next too. Hopefully nothing that's loud!
Did the size of the room make you feel cramped? Can people see from the outside if you leave the curtain open?
Any suggestions on packing?
