I agree with everything said in the LONG letter. We did a 14 day cruise on Crown Nov 2022. Food in DR was mediocre at best - slow, cold and sometimes inedible. Organization at DR entrance - not a bit. For our 6:30 reservation we finally left the line at 7:15. Learned it was best not to have a reservation as they got in first.
Buffet was always out of food in many containers. When mentioned to an attendant she just barked and said she'd get to it. Food was also usually cold.
Our medallion worked occasionally to open the door to our room. Even after getting a new one. Forget setting it up to get the room cleaned.
I agree about the bright light at BR door. Don't carry electrician tape to cover it.
Staff and activities were great, as usual, for the most part. Do miss the old Elite perks.
We have done 25 cruises with Princess and have one planned for next Nov. If this goes the way of the last it will be our last.

What about liquor? Can you bring any quantity on board?
You aren't supposed to and they can confiscate it. Sometimes if you have it in your checked luggage they don't see it.

Thank you to everyone for your replies and info. I'm getting excited just thinking of the trip. We have booked one of the Bluff Cove tours now. Thanks again.

Great. Thanks for the Info. I only started looking at the excursions this past week so don't know how long they've been up. Looking forward to the trip and excursion.

I'll be cruising on Emerald Princess Feb 14. In the Falkland Islands the first three excursion times to the Bluff Cove penguins are more expensive than the later in the day times. Anyone know why? Are they hiding later in the day?

We are going on a Princess Cruise February 2018 - Santiago - Buenos Aires. We will be arriving 2 days early in Santiago. Know nothing about the city. Does anyone have suggestions of things to see? Any must sees in any of the other ports?
Sun Princess Reserve Dining Issues
in Princess Cruises

We did a 6 day Pacific Coastal last Oct on the Discovery Princess. We booked reserve for the first time. There were 8 adults and 2 children. It was probably one of the best experiences we had had in a while on a cruise. We had no waits for the 10 of us. We just walked into the dining room and took our usual table. We had two dedicated servers and the help of the head waiter most evenings. We had the usual menus and extras told each night.
I'm sorry you had such an awful experience. It sounds terrible, and to have to have paid extra for it is a shame. I hope you complained to the proper people and got a refund for that part of it. If that is even an option these days.
