I’d been having trouble downloading the port guides from the Wayback Machine while others were posting links that worked for them. All I could see/download was the cover page 😕 I finally figured out the problem: I needed to use my laptop instead of my iPhone. If you’re having trouble accessing the guides on the Wayback Machine and with loading Tom’s site, try from your computer or laptop. and see the other port guide suggestions people in this forum have made.

Does anyone know whether the Shore Excursion credit is doubled for solo travelers who upgrade to Free at Sea Plus? The benefit of that upgrade as far as the Shore Excursions is concerned is that the 2nd person in the cabin also gets a $50 credit. It seems logical to me that a solo cruiser would then get both since paying for the whole cabin and no 2nd guest. But it also seems unreasonable to expect that and it might just be a waste of money. I want more of an internet and beverage package than Free at Sea gives, but upgrading those a la carte is much more expensive than the whole Free at Sea Plus.

The archive link worked for me, but clicking to download a guide only returned the cover page 🙁 The guides I’ve used in the past were SO helpful and informative. I hope Tom is having a relaxing retirement after having contributed to so many people’s vacation enjoyment!
