Is it time to fill out another "Future Bookings & Loyalty Support Form" ?  After four months, Azamara still doesn't have my loyalty level, points, or past cruises in my online account. I have already filled out the form five times.  Since then, two months have passed during which I have taken two more Azamara cruises. The most recent time I heard from Azamara, I was told that the website would be fixed by the end of June. 🤣  Is it time to fill out another Loyalty Support Form, or would I just be wasting my time and causing myself unnecessary aggravation?

Don’t waste your time filling out the form again. I’ve done it 3 times as in my account I have no upcoming cruises. Then I-get emails saying it is fixed and I still have no upcoming cruises but when I created an account for my husband the cruise is there. First time cruisers with AZ.

Call them. The wait time on the phone lines is a lot less than before. I finally called to get my OBC credited for my shore excursions and internet package. I waited less than 5 minutes. I did use the option of sailing in 30 days or less. My cruise is August 7. Got my boarding passes today via my TA.

I agree with your assessment of the new Azamara website.  It is very user unfriendly.  I was able to find the payment screen after booking several shore excursions (I think).  After selecting an upcoming cruise, clicking on manage my reservation and booking some shore excursions the total cost of the shore excursions should show up at the top of the page under Your Reseration and assorted information regarding the reservation.  In front of the amount is written To Pay and in front of that is a button marked Continue.  Click on the continue button which should bring you to a listing of what you've booked.  Click on Continue again and a Select Payer payment screen should appear.  This should be the page where the instructions say you should click Cancel.   Regards,  Paul

That’s great that these instructions worked for you but many of us don’t even see the “Book” button. I did manage to make a couple of shore excursions after the first time we were told how to do this. I never got to the payment page but saw the “store” button and it did save my excursions. My TA contacted AZ for an updated confirmation copy and it does show my excursions but also shows I owe money for them as well as the internet package I booked.
I wonder if things work differently if you have a PC as opposed to an iMac, which I have, and whether or not different browsers make a difference. It all makes no sense to me but then I don’t have an IT background. Guess I will be on the phone before my August cruise.

Anyone see a way to see your air bookings? This is my first time on AZ, mostly have cruised with Princess, which has a great user friendly website. Everything in one place. I didn’t understand why with AZ that you had to go to Choice Air for reservations and there was no link on their website to you air reservations. I’m hoping AZ will finally add a link or incorporate air reservations into their site. Someone in their IT team needs to look at Princess website!

JaneStarr is correct. Cruise lines operate under different terms with the airlines for contracted "cruise air", often giving them healthy discounts, and the ability to book and hold flights for passengers and not pay for them until close to travel. This is not Azamara specific, but applicable to cruise lines in general who offer air as a trip component.

They often offer several tiers of air, such as non-refundable air which is booked and paid for immediately by the client, and ticketed at that time, and is more restrictive; or refundable air which is booked, and not paid for by the client until they pay their final payment, and not ticketed by the cruise line until generally 30-60 days out (with appr 45 days out seeming to be the sweet spot), and is more flexible in that it can be cancelled or changed up until final payment. You can best see this in practice if you book a cruise with Princess, either direct or through a TA, then access your booking online and select the option to add air, once you put in your parameters of dates and places, it gives you itinerary options to select from with a choice of Flexible or Restricted air, and the prices for each.

In all cases you receive a record locator for the air booking, and can see your booking on the airline's web site, whether ticketed or not. Depending on the airline, and the class of ticket that was booked, you can sometimes select seats in advance for free, sometimes select seats in advance for a fee, and sometimes you must wait until check in for seats. Often times cruise air is a heavily discounted rate that can not be upgraded to a higher cabin class, but that is not always the case.

Some clients like to use cruise air as they generally get a cheaper price, and do not have to pay for their air until final payment; some clients hate cruise air because it can add an extra layer of people to navigate when things go astray.

I have most always booked air through the cruise lines. Mostly with Princess EZ Air, which is easy. The flight prices are always lower than the airlines, there are lots of choices and the flexible air prices have been less expensive that the non-refundable. That's a no brainer! Always chose flexible.

This August 7, Iceland Intensive is our first cruise with Azamara. We decided to fly business class. I have the British Airways locator # and so far all is ok with our reservation. I have even changed seats and it all is correct. Now if Azamara pays them before we leave that will be great!

The cruise line air office is supposed to help you if your flights are cancelled or delayed, another reason to book with them and they know when you are arriving.

I was on a summer cruise to Alaska many years ago flying out of San Francisco (big mistake, as I live closer to San Jose airport but was meeting our son/family in SFO so we would arrive together) We were traveling up the west coast so saw no need to arrive the day before as we were leaving early morning. Fog delayed our flight for 2 hours. It was a nail biter to see if we would arrive before the ship left. There were 2 other couples on our flight going on out cruise and we all told the crew about the cruise departure time, there was also a family from Germany that had a connecting flight that they might miss. The pilots flew that plane faster than usual and we just made it. I was in contact with Princess Air as soon as we were told of the delay, let them know when we were getting on the plane, and again soon as we arrived, They paid for the taxis to get us all to the dock and called us in route to see where we were. Taxi driver knew the situation and got us there in about half the normal time, weaving in and out of traffic. After we were all on board they pulled up the gangway. Talk about stress!!! Alcohol was needed!

It was not an issue for us.

I have had a cabin on Princess that was below the pool deck. We could hear the lounge chairs being dragged around early in the morning and evening. If you are mid ship I would advise being under the pool deck.

Thanks for your help but my problem is that there is no "store" or "save" button at the bottom of the page.

@acruisergirl Here is a screenshot of the page I get with the "store" button at the bottom. As indicated at the top of the page you cannot book shore excursions with OBC now. You have to go thru your TA.

If you are booking excursions without OBC I'm not sure how to do that. I am a first time cruiser with Azamara. Booked most of my excursions off ship at much cheaper prices. Only booked 2 with Azamara to use OBC.

I've booked but have not paid for excursions on the new website and I want to book additional tours.   I know when adding new excursions I clicked on a "save icon" at the bottom of the screen but now it doesn't appear anywhere.  This website is driving me crazy.🙃

Could someone please tell me how to save an excursion to my account?

@acruisergirl when I managed to get into the booking of shore excursions there was a button at the bottom that was "store" and it saved my excursions. I did not see a save icon.

I them went to the basket next to my logo  at the top right corner and it brought up my entire booking with dates cabin # , bed configuration, excursions and internet package.

You're welcome, Marilyn. Smaller airports are usually a better experience, but the advantage of a large airport like SFO, especially if it's a hub, is the numerous flights available if you get delayed or cancelled. When we're flying overseas, I check all the airports within a three-hour drive to see what works best.

    Good luck,

    Kevin

    You are so helpful, Kevin!

    Hi, neighbor! Sunnyvale here also.

If you have any issues regarding the BA flight from SJC, you should ask to change you to one of the SFO-LHR flights. A bit longer drive, yes, but that would be preferable to them changing you to an AA flight connecting in LAX/ORD/DFW.

@JYDCruise Hello Sunnyvale neighbor. I am in Ortega  Park neighborhood. Yes, SFO would be our first choice although we love the small town feel of SJC and I’m sure you do also.

Nice you have at least one non-stop from SJC to LHR. I just checked flightconnections.com and there are a number of one-stop connections on OneWorld (AA and BA) that aren't too bad should your flight be cancelled.

Thank you Kevin! So kind of you to look that up. Our other option is to fly direct from SFO San Francisco, but we really prefer the smaller San Jose airport. SFO is about 35-40 minutes away asa opposed to 10-15 mins. To SJC

You can use Google to translate any website from another language to English. Go to “Google Translate” and subtitle “website”. Copy and laste the url there.

I will just caution anyone who has cruise air with Azamara to be checking your air.

British Airways is cancelling a lot of flights these days.  I used Miles with AA to book my return flight from LHR back to US on 6/24. Today I woke up to an email from AA saying, please contact us.  My flight on British Airways was just cancelled.

Needless to say I spent a couple of hours on the phone rebooking my return flight on AA, not British Airways.  I lost premium economy because it is all booked out at this late date.  So for that 10 hr flight, we are lucky we got the last two extra legroom seats at least.  It could have been worse, it could have happened in the middle of the cruise that I received this notice or worse yet, had the flight cancelled on the day at the airport.

There are also lots of strikes that may happen to air and rail in Europe so there’s potentially going to be a lot of travel pitfalls  this summer.  keep checking your air, no matter whether booked with Azamara or booked independently!

Thanks for the heads up. I just checked my BA reservations and they are all still there. We fly out of San Jose , CA to Heathrow and there is only 1 flight a day so hopefully it will not be cancelled. We do fly on to Oslo and return home from Copenhagen so have to keep an eye on those 2 flights.

Exact same with us, me at Adventurer and Nan at Preview. We are both Discoverer. We sail Onward on Jun 10, flying to Venice on Tuesday.

The OBC issue doesn't bother me as that's just money and will eventually get sorted out. Not having the appropriate loyalty perks is something that's difficult to correct after you've missed them.

    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

Wally and I are trying one more time to get to Iceland. Was so disappointed that we had to cancel that cruise last year in June. I put a lot of time into creating our website.

We will be on the August 7, 2023 Iceland Intensive cruise this time. Hope you had a great cruise to Iceland without us...but then you jumped ship to the Enchanted!

We will get to Iceland hopefully on our 4th attempt! Made a new website for his cruise.

    Aloha,

    Marilyn

Both the AZ & Seaware sites now have our correct AC account number, though still missing points from our 2 most recent cruises.

Up until a few days ago, the Seaware site had us with a new loyalty number, Adventurer tier with 0 points.

Both sites have our upcoming (2/2024) cruise listed correctly (we even added the land tour a few days ago & everything updated correctly).

Bottom line: we're seeing some progress! 😁

what is the URL for Seaware website? Do you use your Azamara login and password?

I am a first time cruiser with Azamara and created the account for my husband and I under my email, Now I show no upcoming cruises in my account. Some advised to change the password but instead I made an account under my husband's email and all info was originally there but now no OBC showing although Azamara sent an email stating the amount that I do have is correct. Taking hard copies along with me onboard.

Does the Seaware site have a link to air reservations made through Choice Air? I cannot get into that site any longer but have checked with the airlines and my reservation is still there. Hopefully Azamara pays them before my cruise in August!

Sometimes "cruise air" can offer significant savings over air bought on the open market. In this case, the clients were able to buy round trip, multi city air from a smaller US airport to sail a Med cruise for a total of $2100 for 2 people in Economy, and select a very good route with 1 connection in each direction. At the time of purchase, that route was running about $2900 total for the 2 of them directly from the airline.

Generally speaking, involving a third party in an airline purchase is not something I am a fan of, because it's just one extra level of involvement that needs to be navigated, but in some instances the savings are worth it. Also, it should be noted that some cruise lines do not allow clients to select their flight routes, you pay their air price and the cruise line selects the route, making this not a positive setup. In the case of Azamara (and Cunard, Princess, several others), the client selects the route they like, days they are arriving/returning, cities, etc, and is given a price.

I have been a loyal Princess passenger with Elite status recently. We have always booked air with the cruise line. The prices are competitive and the Princess flexible fare is cheaper than the non-refundable fare...not sure why but I like it. The best perk is that you do not pay for airfare until your final payment to the cruise line.I really like that!

I am a first time cruiser with Azamara in August 2023.Too bad that my first experience is a website failure. Just hope Azamara does not declare bankruptcy before my cruise!! I am looking forward to smaller ship cruising.

I tried these instructions and it just bounced pay to payment after i hit "canceL"

Does the shore ex have to be less than the OBC amount?? The payment screen still shows I owe the full amount, and now the OBC voucher had disappeared as i selected the authorisation to use the OBC for Shore Ex 😞😞

I also received this email. My cruise is on August 7,2023 Iceland Intensive. I followed the instructions in the mail and at first could not get excursions booked. I kept refreshing the browser (Safari) and finally was able to book 2 excursions with OBC. It never went to the payment page but I clicked on "store" button at the bottom. Up popped a window that stated my reservation was stored. Now I can see it in my "shopping basket".

Just checked the website again today and see the attached message that wasn't there before. OBC credit unavailable online. One step forward, 2 steps back!

I have taken screen shots and copied everything.

Has anyone gotten a response when submitting the form? If yes let me know please on timing. I was correct for my June cruises as of last week but then had a future cruise credit payment removed and the cruise updated as an outstanding bill.

It does seem odd that issues aren’t universal, and a bit of a roulette wheel logging in every day to see where it is potentially wrong. Still, looking forward to the trip and taking heart in the positive feedback from folks saying no issues onboard.

I submitted a support form because the website states I have no upcoming cruises. I have a cruise to Iceland in August. I got no reply and a couple weeks later submitted the form again. Got a reply a couple of days later stating that my account had been updated. Still showing no upcoming cruise. Submitted another form again today. Wait to see what happens this time. This is my first cruise on Azamara and not very happy with this major screw up!

We will also be in Barcelona in November, 2019, for a cruise on the Viking Jupiter,

and are focused on a Montserrat tour.

Does anyone know of a web-site, where we may see the docking times and terminals for each ship?

I understand that local tour companies are not allowed access to the Port, only Taxis.

Viking reps say they do not know where the Jupiter will be docked.(?)

This just seems odd to me, since most ships have assigned docking space many months in advance.

Is this something that is peculiar to Barcelona, like last minute parking?🙂

Here is a website that has port info. It is quite helpful. Find the country, then the city port. Scroll down to the "cruise calendar" and select your date that you will be in port. It will tell you what ships are in port on a particular date. Unfortunately it does not state where the ships docks.

    https://www.whatsinport.com/index.htm

This website has lots of detailed info also on ports although it has not been updates since 2012.

  18. Spain Day Tours ( https://www.spaindaytours.com/)  is a family owned company and very responsive via email to all of your questions. My husband and I took the Barcelona City Tour after disembarking from our cruise. Simona, our guide and Ernesto, our driver were there on time to pick us up with luggage at the port terminal. We saw many sites and also purchased, through their site, tickets to Park Guell. Simona led us through the site and gave us insight into Antoni Gaudi's magnificent creations. We were so glad we had a guide for this excursion or we would have missed so much viewing it on our own. She also explained the outside of the beautiful La Sagrada Familia. We had purchased tickets for the following day to visit the inside.

They don't advertise this but if you are "first in group" to sign up for any of their tours you could receive 1 or 2 free excursions       ( depending on the number of passengers in the van). We signed up to be the first in group (after we were told of this offer) and since we had a full van of 12 people, both of our tours were free.

I had also arranged for tours in Valencia, Palma De Mallorca and a Montserrat tour from Barcelona but unfortunately none of these tours reached a minimum and were cancelled, even after posting on CC roll call.

I highly recommend this company for your tours in Spain.
