I understand that parking for handicap vehicles is free provided they meet the ports criterier for such vehicles. My vehicle meets the criteria.

My question, Is there anyway to preregister with the port without having to prepay?

I am sure I will find my spot, Raffles sounds like it might be it, any place I can sit have a cold Corona meet new people and lively conversation is for me. Also some entertaining bartenders are always a plus. :)

Thanks for the info, but sad for me, I am not a swimmer nor a lounger, I like sitting at the pool bar. Never been on a ship that did not have an actual pool bar. Guess I will have to make due with the Bier Garden bar upstairs.

I have been looking at deck plans and pics of the ship and I do not see a pool bar in any. Is there a pool bar?

I have been on several cruises and read bad things about all of them, I never pay attention to a bad review. In my opinion the people who write bad reviews would not be happy if they washed the sheets, made their own beds, cleaned their bathrooms, cooked their own food and served it. Some people complain regardless, and I have run into a few of them in my travels. I have always enjoyed the cruises I have taken, why, because I wanted to enjoy myself, thats the whole purpose of taking a cruise. Some people are miserable and want everyone else to be miserable with them. I feel sorry for them but I won't let them influence my happiness.

Just my thoughts on the bad reviews.

I will be back on the sky for the second time in Oct. I am so looking forward to having a wonderful time once again :)

I am 2 nights from becoming a Platinum member. I have booked 4 nights on the Sky Oct 5th thru the 9th, then I am booked on the Getaway Oct 10th thru the 17th, I booked the 4 day cruise so I would be a Platinum when I got on the Getaway. I have called and asked NCL if in fact I would receive my Platinum status when I board the Getaway and all they tell me is it takes 24hrs for the syestem to update.

I am hopping someone has maybe gone this route and can give me a definite answer to this.

I have a question regarding what is considered a modified vehicle. I have a trailer hitch rack with ramp to transport my mobility scooter, is this a qualifying modification for free parking? I also have state issued DAV handicap plates on my car.

Any info would is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info, I think I will just park at the port for this trip since I will be driving in the morning of departure. JohninDC, you stated it is easy and I have a question. Is it like Port Canaveral where you have a place to pull up and drop your baggage and then park your car? I have tried to research how it works there and have not be able to get a clear picture of exactly how it is.

Park Port Canaveral is vary good. I have used them twice. Vary close to the port and reasonably priced.

I am taking a cruise from Tampa for the fist time in Feb.

I am wondering how the port parking is set up there. Is it as cautic as the port of Miami, or vary easy like Port Canaveral?

Does anyone know what it cost to have a woman's hair styled at the spa onboard the Liberty for formal night? Just trying to see if it will fall within our budget.

Are there more electrical outlets in a Ocean suite? It looks like there might be but I am unsure. Should I still bring a power strip just incase?

I am hoping someone can give me some information regarding where one can smoke topside. I have tried to research this, but there is conflicting info about it. Some say you can smoke on one side of the pool deck, another says only on deck 10. If its only on deck 10 is there any covered areas up there? The pictures I have seen of deck 10 all seem to be open with no covered areas.
