  1. Seems like that would be the demise of most people's desire to buy a card. The only reason DH buys one is because he can save it from cruise to cruise.

Floridalover does not know this for a fact. He has an obsession to make things up or read only what he wants to hear - there has been no info from Princess regarding the demise of the coffee card

  2. You do not get charged a fee in the casino if you upload credits to your cruise card for use in the machines. If you go to the cashier cage to obtain cash off your cruise card, there is a fee. So simply go to a machine, set up your access, upload $XXX to your card, take the card to the cage, and cash out balance.

    Take care.

Ho does this wwork with the new medallion system?

  3. This is the neat part of cruiseing and sitting at a large table of people who you will probably hever see again. You can be a CEO of a fortune 500 company, own three mansions and two Lamborghinis and a 200 ft yacht, been everywhere in the world, know and dine with famous people and on and on. I have been known to get up and leave in the middle of dinner to another table when this happens.

  4. Had a guy who dominated the conversation on how important he was - was good friends with Sam Walton (guess he didn't get the memo that Sam died in 19960 - good friends with the beach boys, only wanted wines that were at least $100 per bottle, refused to drink from the table wine glasses and demanded they get glasses from Sabatinis, and on and on - he sold light bulbs to Walmart - I left before desert and he wondered why we were leaaving

  5. We have an upcoming (in a few days) 21 day Reflection cruise for which we have purchased dining packages that will allow us to eat 14 meals in alternative restaurants. Our thinking is that 10 of those meals will be in Murano :). What a way to go.

If you are willing to pay $24pp per day on top of the$,s you are giving up in the MDR then you must agree that the MDR food is terrible.

  6. I would agree, the filet is usually the best choice in the Crown Grill. Years ago the meal, including the meat, had a wow factor. You left the table thinking WOW that was GREAT. That has not been the case in recent years. Now it's more like a that was OK, or I really liked that one dessert. We probably would not book it if it weren't for the first night free with a suite. So yes it's the best place to get a steak on board but go in with realistic expectations.

IMHO Outback Steakhouse is better all around. Ironically we usually eat at an Outback the night before a cruise. It's next to the Embassy Suites in Fort Lauderdale. So I eat the meat at Outback and 24 hours later I eat the same cut in the CG. Outback wins every time. Years ago it may have been a tie.

Outback steaks are a low grade of top sirloin - IMHO are not very good

If that is a Celebrity ship - GOOD LUCK - unless you like sauted sawdust

  8. I find there’s always someone who wants to know what you do for a quid, if you tell them, there’s all sorts of questions flow, if you don’t the rest of the cruise they’re trying to find out.

Then there the one who wants everyone to know he is smarter, richer, more successful than everyone else, and well, I’m not as patient with that type as I never was, if you get my drift.

So easier to spend catch up time with the Beautiful one, something we tend to miss out on a lot at home.

One Uppers - this is why we now dine at a table for two

  9. We live a very casual lifestyle at home so we love the opportunity to dress for dinner when we cruise. For 15 nights I would pack two formal gowns, three or four cocktail dresses and black trousers with a handful of dressy evening tops. I take a pair of silver/platinum dress shoes and a pair of classic black heels. Why do you want an extension cord?

    Why an extension cord??
