You will be charged double what you bid. It is always for 2 whether you have 1 person in the cabin or 4

We love second seating. So much more relaxing

The tax you pay is not much >$1 per drink--it only lasts until a bit after sailaway.
Not sure on the comedy club

This has been such a helpful thread! We are traveling on the Wonder in March - our window opens on January 10th. Any other ideas for new to Disney cruisers? I am putting together information for my family (group of 7 traveling 🙂 )
Question about Pirate Night - how "themed" is it? Is it just at dinner or are there Pirate themed events/parties all evening?
@K8T - I tried to PM you but am having issues. Would love to know more about the Fish Extender group - sounds fun!
For Pirate night the characters are dressed as pirates, the dinner is themed, there is a Pirate Dance Party on the pool deck and fireworks

We ended up using discount excursions and it was amazing . All of the carnival jet ski excursions were cancelled due to high waves but ours still went out and it was just the 3 of us with the guide. Our guide was great and gave us plenty of time at the 3 different areas(starfish. Island, stingray city, reef) and he also had food to feed the stingrays and the fish. This was absolutely my favorite excursion!!!! Highly recommend this!!!!
Do you have a link?

There is no ziplining in Cayman. It’s a very flat island. There are no hills or mountains, unless you count Mt Trashmore (the garbage dump).
Thank you--any recommendations of things to do not in the water? We are going in February and the water will be too cold for us. Not much offered by way of sponsored excursions

Any recommendations for a zip line tour in Grand Cayman?

No more toiletries or beach towels? Can anyone confirm? Sailing Breakaway Sunday...
I was on the Breakaway in September. There was hand soap in a dispenser in the bathroom as well as a shampoo/conditioner combo and body wash in dispensers in the shower. Beach towels were available on the pool deck and anytime you got off the ship.
We had a great experience on the Breakaway. Our room was clean and I did ask for towel animals as I had a first time cruiser with our party. Our toilet did stop flushing twice but they came and fixed it quickly both times. I thought the food was good and we only had one slow service in the dining room at breakfast. All other meals were timely. We did eat in three specialty restaurants but all other meals in the MDR other than port day lunches at the buffet. We had no trouble getting drinks and nothing we asked for was not available.
This was our second trip on NCL and both times were good experiences. We have also been on Carnival, RCL and Disney for reference. I think both trips compared with CCL and RCL but not DCL but I did not expect it to. DCL charges more because you get more.
Hope that helps a bit

Ate there last month. Both I and my husband thought it was the best meal we had all week. Service was excellent and everything we ordered was great. We were on the Breakaway.

It's lemon and champagne

My favorite on NCL is the Toma--I would not want a count of how many I drink:-)

If I recall correctly it was just some milk and chocolate milk. Sometimes there was tea and lemonaide in pitchers. There is a fancy coffee/hot chocolate machine and icecream. I think they shut down the room at 9pm or so.

We sailed the Saturday after Thanksgiving last year on the Getaway and there were no Christmas decorations on the ship. A few of the ports were decorated though.

I travel frequently for work so I always have a liquid hand soap in my travel things. I used it when we were on the Vista in May. I do not like bar soap and often it irritates my skin so I much prefer my own soap. It doesn't take up much room and it makes me much happier

We had no issues when we were on in November
-
I thought I read somewhere it had a full breakfast buffet. Is that true? Did it have pop in the lounge, too?
No soda in the lounge but it does have a fancy coffee machine and sometimes there was lemonaide and tea in pitchers. We enjoyed having ice cream just a few doors down and breakfast there on port days was a plus. We were glad we booked the room

Yes, you can take the towels off the ship. When you return you just trade them in for clean ones.
-
We walked off this morning in less than 10 minutes with our luggage. It was the easiest I've ever left a ship
-
Just off the Vista this morning and yes they are serving romaine lettuce

When we were on the Getaway last November celebrating out anniversary they brought us a special cake and the wait staff sang to us. No charge. I think my travel agent had included it on the booking that we were celebrating. It was in Cagney's, I am sure you could arrange this if it is something your friends would like. It was not the only singing I heard that night:):)

I don't know but I know my kids have status on Disney--even the one that started when she was 3
Seems unfair for them not to get credit

We said the week after Thanksgiving 2017 and had a wonderful time. Didn't notice any of the issues I had read about here. I didn't find anywhere to be so crowded that it was unenjoyable, service was great, there was smoke in the casino but not overwhelming (we don't gamble but walked thru lots of times). We had the drink package and no kids with us so it was a great week! I would do it again

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon in November and will do so again in May. We didn't use their shuttle but instead used Lyft both to and from the port. The room was fine for an overnight stay with the usual Hampton Inn breakfast. It was easy to pick up our car after our cruise. We didn't notice any extra noise from the airport but ymmv

First Disney Cruise question about ports and ship???
in Disney Cruise Line
Posted
I would choose the longest cruise you can, but yes the terminal in Canaveral is exclusively Disney so its a bit nicer than the terminal in Miami but I wouldn't let that make my decision. You are not in the terminal that long. I've been on all the ships and they are all great. Dream will be bigger so more people than Magic. My experience is that yes, the ship will be decorated for Christmas then. Have fun!
