I am thinking a bus ride to the small fishing village of Boccadasse for lunch and then self exploring- maybe a hop on hop off tour if they have one or a short 1/2 day tour of the city - no companies or particulars figured out yet. We sail Nov 24th

I am following since we are going on the same itinerary in Nov.

My thoughts so far;

Marseille either private tour to Aix,Cassis and back to Marseille about 100 euros or self guided day (boat trip from vieux port to the calanques 3hr and then little train around Marseille and self exploring much cheaper but worried I would miss markets in Aix)

Genoa - self guided day visit to Boccadasss (little fishing village) and then around city

Rome - guided private excursion to city and collesum. (Been there before and already been to vacatian museum)

Palmero- hoping for a tour of the catacombs if I can find one. Then small city tour to see Norman Palace and Palatine chapel

Valletta - Hop On Hop off and self guided.

My ideal day would be a tour in morning to get orientated to the area and then time in afternoon to explore. My plans aren't set yet and any feedback or advice is welcome!

I looked online with Life on Board and under night life and see a lot of options like theme Halloween party, white party, etc. Will every cruise has these same options? How do I know what is on my cruise and therefore what to pack (I.e something white). Sailing Nov 24th Maraviglia (sorry spelling) out of Barcelona

Ok never mind i called MSC it is free. I guess it is listed under 'not included in fare' since you have to sign up and limited space.

When we booked I thought the kids club was complimentary the whole time but we have since received our 2017/18 brochure and says NOT included while parents are off ship. [emoji30]

A big bummer since that was a big deciding factor for booking.

Anyone know the cost for childcare (ages 4 and 6) on MSC Meraviglia for budgeting purpose so I plan our excursions.

This is our first cruise and I am worried about all the add ons- hoping for 1000$ on boards fees for the week.
