Thank you all. My DW likes her coffee with a little International House Swiss Mocha mixed in, so we will likely follow the lead of others and enjoy the coffee that the NL has. Maybe we can take a caffe with us and take that back to the room. Enjoy the early morning view as the sun rises. I am all for relaxing and can't think of a better way to start the morning. :D

It is a pod-type coffee maker, but I can't recall the brand name. I don't think it is Nespresso.
Thank you. My DW likes the Green Mountain Breakfast Blend so a pod type would be great. She is not a big coffee drinker but does enjoy a cup in the morning. The veranda will be a great place to enjoy that first cup.:D

We are in a Neptune Suite for our November cruise and just wondering if anyone knows what type of coffee maker is in the suite? I saw where someone on another thread said Nepresso.
Thanks

We are making the partial transit in November. I think we will stay on board as it may be the only time that DW and I will get to do this. We can hardly wait.

As soon as we know which night we want.
Yes, and time is typically 12:00 to 13:00.
Thanks for the response. Looks like we will be ch cling menus this weekend. :D

Speaking of binoculars, can anyone tell me what the ones in the suites are like? I have a nice pair of Zeiss that I would consider taking if they aren't real great.
Thanks.

I started drinking Titos as it is gluten free. Actually the distilling process usually eliminates any traces of gluten, but I also prefer its taste over the others. As Nang said above, to each their own.

We are sailing on the Zuiderdam in November. How far in advance do you make reservations for the specialty restaurants?

Great report and pictures. We are sailing on the Zuiderdam in November and your picture of the crab legs guarantees that we will be eating dinner in the Pinnacle at least once.

Zuiderdam 10 day Panama Sunfarer November 5 , 2017. First cruise in 20 years.

Great to see a review of this cruise. We are making the same trip in November. We hope to have as much fun as you did.

Thanks for the great pictures of your Alaskan trip. I lived there back in the early 70s and seeing your pictures reminded me of lots of great times. We are sailing on the Zuiderdamn in November and are booked in a Neptune Suite, so seeing your on board pictures and menus and so forth really helped her feel more comfortable and actually get a bit excited.
We can not hope to enjoy our trip as much.

We are going on our third cruise and first one in almost twenty years. Have never had an inside cabin, but never had a balcony either. First cruise was on the "Big Red Boat" before Disney got their own line. Had the kids with us. Outside cabin with a porthole. Second trip was company trip. Again outside cabin with porthole. Did manage to see a whale out of it. Linda always felt claustrophobic in room. Decided this time to go with a balcony and what the heck, why not a suite. We are really looking forward to it. She gets more room and I get to cruise. When we go we will both be retired.
Each person is entitled to their own opinion. We are not the type to party hardy and only use the room for sleep and shower. Quiet time to enjoy our peace is important and a balcony will do us well.
Will November 5th ever get here?

I will check to see if it is a per person credit. It was a part of the Ready, Set, Sail on HAL.

Thank you. I felt that they should be available for almost everything, but was not sure. Understand the casino and cruise lines credit not being refundable.
Our OBC is a cruise line credit and we will make sure we use it all.

I apologize for what is likely a dumb question, but I am not quite sure I understand on board credits. It has been many years since we were on a cruise, like 20 years or so. Are they available for use for anything on a ship?
Thanks for the help. :D
