  1. Wow! That itinerary looked really good. The pics are great. I am looking forward to cruising into the Arctic. Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
  2. We also had to call to get the certificate numbers. They said we would get an email and I'm still waiting on the email. We are looking for a cruise to take early next year. Just haven't hammered down an exact date and ship.
  3. Thanks everyone...I thought you had to pay the down-payment when using FCC but I wanted to make sure.
  4. Update: So we finally got our certificates. Now we are looking at booking a cruise. I just have a quick question. When booking a cruise with FCC, do you use the FCC as the deposit for the cruise or do you pay the deposit and then apply the FCC? Thanks for all the info. This is the 1st time in all our years of cruising that we have had FCC.
  5. It depends on the waiter. We were on the Radiance last month and our waiter told my daughter to order lobster for me and order an entrée for herself. He brought out her lobster and acted like she didn't like it and gave it to me then immediately brought out her entrée.
  6. Thank you. I use a travel agent, so I can book the cruise and then give my travel agent the FCC certificate when I receive it?
  7. Yeah, the cabin above us left their water running with the drain plugged and left from their room which in turn flooded our room as well as the cabin below us.
  8. So as I understand FCC, they told me on the ship that if I already have a cruise booked, I would be able to use the FCC on that cruise to pay it off even though I already had booked the cruise. Is this a true statement in your experience?
  9. Thanks...I'm gonna go ahead and try that route.
  10. On our recent sailing we were going to be issued a FCC due to 1 of our cabins being flooded and having to be relocated to another cabin. Our letter states that we should receive an email with our certificate. My question is what is the average time after your cruise do you usually receive the certificate? I have never used FCC before and we are looking at a cruise for next year and was trying to wait for the certificate. Thanks for the info.
  11. Thank you to everyone. I am typing this from my room at the Pan Pacific hotel. I will have to say that using the sky train was the best decision I made. Easy to purchase the passes and left me off about a couple blocks away which was super easy to walk. I was able to find a nice moderately costing location to eat for the whole family.
  12. We are pretty open when it comes to eating. Not looking for anything too 'fancy'. Just a nice sit down dinner.
  13. We are flying in on 5/16 for our cruise on 5/17. We are staying at the Pan Pacific Hotel. We are looking at taking the SkyTrain from the airport to downtown. First question is how far away is the station from the Pan Pacific? Is it walkable? Second question is some recommendations for local places to eat that's close to the Pan Pacific? Thank you all for your input. John
  14. We are long time Carnival and Royal Carribbean cruisers. We are now looking at Costa cruise for next year for a Mediterranean cruise. What are the pros and cons of this cruise line? All information is greatly appreciated. We are a family of 3 with our daughter being a special needs cruiser. Thank you all for your thoughts and insights on this cruise line.
