  1. Just be aware that cruise cash is apparently not refundable in case you don't use it all. There may be some sort of casino trick to use it then you can cash it out there on the last night. Not sure though. Leaving next week as well. Do a search on that before you go!

  2. I booked this cruise back in October and FTTF was sold out then. I called in January I believe and that person said they weren't releasing it until 6 months or so before the cruise. New policy. I called again in April, and that customer service rep had no idea what I was talking about. She said I never should have been told that, and that it was SOLD OUT. I think it does in fact seem like Carnival is trying something new in releasing it so close to our cruises. I would have preferred getting it when I booked. Having our cabin ready immediately and being able to dump our carry-ons is worth it. So is having the shorter line at customer service, which we used quite a bit last cruise. Happy for everyone that were finally able to get it!

  3. That would be terrible if people missed out on visiting family! We are sailing in 7/21. I'm praying everything is fixed well before then. I don't want anyone to miss any ports, or be without AC. We've had this vacation booked for months, and those things would absolutely affect it.

  4. We'll be on the Magic in July and are also considering doing this tour, but I'm unsure of who to book through. Carnival's excursion is of course the priciest and most crowded and rushed sounding. That being said, I feel reassured going through the ship. I've been researching shore excursioneer dot com as well. Sounds less crowded and is definitely less expensive. I'm nervous about tendering to the port, catching another boat and then tendering back on time. Yes, I'm a worrier! Does anyone have any advice they can offer? We have our two teenage kids that want to snorkel A LOT, as do I. Thanks for your help!

  5. I found an excursion on shore excursioneer that seems to include a bunch of stuff. We want to snorkel, have lunch, hit the tequila tasting mainly, which is all included as well as lockers and beach chairs. Not terribly interested in the dolphins or sea lions. They are asking for $39/pp. Would we be better off paying a la carte for all of those things?

  6. Not really, but it does very by ship and when they run sales it's not on every ship, nor every sailing.

The sales are also not often 'advertised'. It just gets listed at a different price point (no 20% off tag or such).

I will keep checking then. Thanks for the insight!

  7. Surely you jest, hahaha, but thank you so much for the kind words. I love writing although I don't get a lot of chances to do it. As soon as I get some sponsored trip opportunities rolling in, I will get right on my travel writing career ;). I would love that - DH too I'm sure :)

I hope you enjoy Enchantment as much as we did - is it your first cruise ever or just with RCI?

I'm not jesting at all! You've got a gift and I think my fellow readers would agree. Loving every minute of your review. We have cruised on Carnival a few times and wanted to try a different line. This is also an extended "date night" for us and wanted something from Jax or Port Canaveral. The Enchantment had the winning dates!
