Do you ever get a new set of RoyalUp options if you change your stateroom? For my December cruise I originally booked just an interior GTY. Got a list of RoyalUp bids ranging from OV to Spacious Balcony and bid on them. Recently had a huge price drop and switched to Balcony GTY from less than I originally paid for the interior. Right now my RoyalUP page is still showing the same options and saying my booked stateroom is interior GTY

It took mine 2 days to update after I did an upgrade.

The Junior Suites on Odyssey are really lovely. The layout of the bathrooms is apparently confusing according to some who have sailed in them. It seems impossible to know for sure which is which. I think a compilation of that would be helpful to many. I'll start with one we just had.

13240:  Separate shower tub and sink in bathroom One and toilet and sink in bathroom Two.

We just got our Royal Up bid acceptance for 11/6 Odyssey:  12638 (starboard and almost mirror to your stateroom).  Do you think we'd have the same bathroom config?  Thanks, in advance!!

Correction to my last reply:  we are six days out and still pending with no option to modify/cancel.  Fingers crossed!!  (Not obsessed at all.  lol)

We got the JS upgrade email just now!!  Super excited.  Can anyone tell me what kind of bathroom to expect (shower/tub/# of toilets/etc.)?  The Odyssey has only sparse details about staterooms on the site.  We are in 12638 -  J4 starboard on the bump out.  I'd appreciate any details you might have!

    Woo-hoo!!!

Yes, our GS 1 bdrm bid expired and our JS was pending until 4 days prior to sailing, when we got the congratulations notice. We also were not able to modify the bids for the JS once it went to pending. We got one of the suites on the hump and looks like it has the separate shower. Good luck, hope it works out for you.

That gives me hope!!!!  Thanks for sharing.  Four days out now and it's still pending with no option to modify/cancel.  I'm checking my app like an addict.

  5. We are on the Odyssey for the 11/6 sailing with an Oversize Balcony stateroom.   Put in Royal Up bids for a JS, 2 types of OS.  Today, the two OS bids "expired" and the JS is "pending" with no more option to modify or cancel (still six days until sailing).  Is that a good sign that the JS might have been accepted?

*Sorry, in advance, if this post is redundant.

  6. We have booked flights through FBX for a September cruise.  Payment is not due until June.  We have a mix of Business Class flights on Lufthansa, Air Canada, and American Airlines.  We were able to call Lufthansa and book our seats.  However, the American Airlines and Air Canada flights do not have seat selection available, as they said they were not yet "ticketed".

Does anyone have experience with American Airlines and Air Canada through FBX?  At what point were you able to make seat selections?

    Thanks!

  7. Thanks to everyone who replied....lots of good information.  Sound like the Celebrity website needs a spa makeover.

Too bad you have to wait to get on board to reserve.....who wants to stand in line on embarkation day?  Do they at least have an interactive TV in the staterooms for making reservations?

Our last Baltics cruise on NCL was a comedy of errors.  They had one single line at each restaurant, so if you had a reservation you had to stand and wait for everyone who did not have one to get checked in (and, often seated before those with reservations).  If you attempted to go to the desk because it was your reservation time, you received a stern "get back in line" from a crew member.  Yikes!  Nothing says ''relaxation" like a queue.

One more quick question:  At Blu, will we be seated at a table for two or seated with a group?

  8. This is our first Celebrity cruise (Reflection 09/26/2020), so I am a little confused about making dining reservations.  We have cruised with NCL and have always booked restaurant/time/date for the whole cruise online, in advance.

We are booked in an Aqua class stateroom with "anytime" dining.

    1.  The website lets me select dining times for each night using the "Celebrity Select" option.  Should I assume that those reservations would be in Blu?  There is no option to select any other MDR.  I have read great reviews of Blu, but what if we want to try others?

    2.  If I try to purchase any length Specialty Dining Package, there is a disclaimer that my restaurants will be "assigned" and given to us in our stateroom on the first night.  Also, it states we can make a courtesy reservation online for the first night, only.  Does this mean that I cannot make advance online individual specialty reservations at specific restaurants for specific times?

    3.  If I choose and pay for a Specialty Dining Package, do other options for advance online reservations show up for me?

I have searched throughout the Celebrity website and cannot find the answers to these questions.  I hesitate to phone them - every time I have the hold time has been <30minutes.  I really don't want to stand in line on the first evening onboard.

Thanks for any help you can give me!!!

  9. Hi! Sailing Tuesday on the Getaway and currently have a Spa Balcony.  We submitted an upgrade offer for three different Haven cabins.

My question is:  If I already paid for a 4-meal dinner plan (it was not one of my Free at Sea options), does that payment get refunded to me it I get a Haven upgrade which includes all Free at Sea options?

I could not find it in the fine print anywhere....thanks, in advance, for answering!!

  10. There is a difference between "seeing" something and being able to "book" it.  A simple solution would be to allow the customer to see all of the excursions available for the entire itinerary and then simply have a pop-up preventing you from adding it to your cart without cancelling the conflicting excursion first.

I like to do things online rather than calling.  I also like the confirmation emails of things I have purchased to include the sales price, minus discounts and promotions, so that I can make financial plans.

BirdTravels:  I hope the vast majority of your 15,580 posts were less condescending and sarcastic.

  11. Hello!  I have a booked cruise on the Getaway.  We've made shore excursion reservations for all ports through NCL.

Why can I no longer see any of the other excursions available for each port?  I can only "see" the one I booked.  What if I want to change my mind and book another excursion or at least compare my options?

Why can't I see the prices for my booked excursions (they all say $0)?  Even the confirmation email they sent me has no prices.

This seems rather secretive.  If anyone knows a trick to get the info I want from the website, please let me know.

I used to love NCL.  Not sure how I feel anymore.

  12. Hello!  We are on the NCL Getaway 6/25 from Copenhagen and have booked airluggage.dk to handle our luggage from the airport to the cruise terminal so that we can do some sightseeing before we cruise.

We are arriving at CPH from the US on an international flight.  How do we get our luggage back into terminal 2 for drop off after passing through customs?  Do we need to re-enter security?

Thanks, in advance, for any info you can provide!
