Thanks for taking questions.

We are on her in a couple of weeks and are wondering how you communicated with others in your party who may be somewhere else on the ship?  Do the room phones travel with you? Your mobile phone over ship wifi?

Searched as many different ways as I could think of but come up with nothing.

We are leaving out of Miami port but flying into FLL the day before. Hoping for a hotel with airport shuttle and transportation options to Miami.

Someone must have traveled this way previously, any recommendations would be great.

Option (1) Alaska: Dawes Glacier, Juneau & Ketchikan - On the Bliss

Option (2) Alaska: Glacier Bay, Skagway & Juneau - On the Encore

 

For either option we are thinking  the Haven proper.  (our pre-COVID-19 plans were the Haven Aft).  We plan to leave the kids at home if we do Alaska, and I've been assured we can apply their original cruise dollars to our Alaska cruise for just me and my partner.

 

I'm really interested on thoughts on the itinerary and the ships.  Thanks all.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Following.  We're booked for July 2021 Glacier Bay, Encore.  There are about 20 of us.

This is when we're traveling to Alaska as well. When we look at rebooking, because of the uplift in prices any benefit of FCC is washed out.  

So now the decision for us is to take the refund or just pay for 2021.

Yes, we use an on-line TA and forgot we had it until after final payment. My DW pointed out we had an unused FCC, so I called them and had it applied with a credit card refund of the value a couple of weeks later. This was recent, last year.

Our travel agent is saying the same. We already have one booked and could cancel and rebook but it's showing $500 more right now.  I'm wondering if the rules about how it can be used are specific to cancellations based on the virus.

Thanks for all the replies. I've tried calling a couple of times today but it goes straight to voicemail.

I'm fine with paying for the extra time, I just want my car to be there whenever I do arrive.  

Leaving at the end of March and debating canceling. We are driving to NY and parking at the port.

Not thinking of canceling because of the virus, but worried about getting stuck on the ship for a few weeks. We can work mobile so we would bring what we need to be able to work from the ship. But..what happens to my car if it's there for an extended period?

We did the same thing and it took a day to update both the offerings and our reservation. 

Going on the Bliss at the end of March. What is the lounge like? Cigarettes allowed in there as well? Often overcrowded? Foggy?

I'm hoping it's not as bad as I have heard.

As I recall, the resort was badly damaged by the hurricane and it is only recently re-opened. It looks lovely in their advertising, some of the photos have a tag line..."Stronger and Brand New".  It is one of the resorts right next to Maho beach.

I don't believe you can use them to gamble.  They will work at the bar though.

You get more than just alcohol with the drink package  It includes almost all other drinks including bottled water, fresh juice, shakes, coffee etc...You may want to factor those in to your daily cost to get an accurate number. 

If the price goes down on the package you just cancel what you purchased and buy it again at the lower price. The refund for the original purchase takes about a week.

What's in a Labadoozie? I'm sure it will not matter since I'm sure I'll have a few and end up buying the mug...
