we're on the Anthem in a few weeks... we booked the BOGO a while ago but I see it's no longer offered.... They might only sell so many of them.
-
we're on the Anthem in a few weeks... waivers not available online.
-
book what you can NOW!!
i'm on the Thanksgiving sailing and it was booked up months ago.... within days of them making time slots available.
-
I don't have pics.... be aware the connecting door can only be unlocked/locked by the steward.
-
I believe it’s Nationwide.
Yes it is, but I didn't know if we're allowed to name names or not on these boards, so I didn't.
My policy from Travelsafe provides a $250 benefit for itinerary change only to pay for any non-refundable excursions. The Nationwide plan looks to pay out so long as you still take the cruise.
-
some policies have a Port of Call Change benefit.... I saw one with a $750 payment if the port of call is changed prior to departure, but only if your still go on the cruise.
-
on the Anthem for this Thanksgiving it's been at $48/day (20% off) for a while...$54/day with internet added on.
non-alchohol package is normally at $26/day for this sailing but it goes to $18/day every now and again.
those rates don't include gratuity
-
If you're really uncomfortable, my family has plain regular balcony cabins with a connecting door and no studio passenger to worry about.... We'll trade ya if you're on the Anthem over Thanksgiving.
-
The BOGO sale is $30 for specialty dinners the first 2 nights ($15ea). You can't reserve a specific restaurant but you can change what they give you once onboard.
-
IDK if the $4950 on the Anthem includes fees, but I see it at $5,300 through my TA all in (with $300 cash card back)
I wouldn't think fares would ever go up after final payment since they're looking to fill up the ship, but maybe Christmas cruises are different
-
I can say that I've seen a decrease in pricing on our Thanksgiving cruise in the last couple weeks, since final payment
-
what cabin category are you referring to?... and I'm assuming you mean a Christmas sailing and not Thanksgiving.
we're on a Thanksgiving cruise on the Anthem..... 2 balcony room for 2 each = $4,000 (including tax and fees)
-
Call and text capability costs $7.95 per phone, for the entire cruise.
Will the $7.95 cover future cruises or just for the one you're on at the time?
-
even paid upgrades?
-
We're on the Anthem for this Thanksgiving.
I've read all sorts of upgrade threads but none answer my question.
We have 2 balcony cabins with a connecting door, wife and I in one and the kids in the other..... If they offer paid upgrades, what's the possibility of RCL combining us together and offering us a suite?..... I would pay a "little" more for that.
I checked are there are a lot of suites still available on this sailing.
I'm almost hesitant to take a combined upgrade... kids in a separate room behind a lockable door... but I might consider it if the price were right.
-
I’d have to doublecheck and see if it’s transferable. I know that my guest can be changed but I’m not sure about the primary guest a.k.a. me.
name change the 2nd passenger and add a third? ($383/2, or would they charge half the 21 day rate?)
383*2.5 = 957.50... still less than $500pp for (2)
Then just don't show up as the main guest.....
-
Boarding Anthem on the first day... where would you go for lunch?
-
You might book direct with RCL to get the rooms you want as sometimes they have rooms available the TA's don't.... then you can transfer it to a TA to get the perks they offer.
I recently did this to get connecting rooms and then transferred it to a big box store TA. Because the TA had a group of rooms already allocated to them they had RCL add us to their group and our fare went down a little..... but we got all the perks of the TA.... free one night dining upgrade, soda package, spa treatment, OBC and a gift card (for the box store) upon our return.
-
I'm curious... did you have Northstar reservations already when you did it on day one?
We have reservations on day 6 of our cruise... does that prevent us from doing it on day one like you did?
Our flight arrives EWR at 6am so I'm sure we'll be one of the first on the ship....;-)
-
SFO to EWR for our Thanksgiving on the Anthem... bought RT air tix at about $1100 RT pp... then they went down to $635 RT pp. Thankfully I got future credits for the difference.... now the tix are back to $1235 RT pp
-
Thanks for quick replies and link to rewards-If I read it right after 125000 points ( valued at $1250) you get a minimum ocean view cabin cruise for 2-up to $2500-seems like a decent deal if you use this-agree?
You're going to charge $125,000 on a card?... in how many years?
The RCI card is a 1% return... other cards have a better return
-
We're on the Anthem over Thanksgiving..... having the kids in a connecting cabin only added about $150 to $200 to our cost....
-
We're on the Anthem over Thanksgiving... fares were almost $1000 when I booked tickets from SFO..... went down $120 the next day, another $100 the next, another $135 the next then another $50 a few days after that.... I was steaming at having paid so much.... then I discovered that Alaska Airlines has a fare guarantee.... I got future flight credits for all those price drops. Alaska will be my airline of choice in the future.... especially since they just acquired Virgin America
fares are now back to close to what I paid originally....
