    maybe  call O and ask

Are you looking in the right area  for the  booking dates ?

They are out  for our April cruise

I am on a 40 day cruise which, since I booked, is being sold as 2 segments. Discovery and Connosieur show up on the first segment but nothing for the second half. BTW, I've booked a res for La Cuisine Bourgeoise (for which I had to call O). Has anyone tried that menu? And yes, I'll call O next week to confirm there are no La Reserve dinners scheduled for January.

  2. Yes, I travel solo - again on Marina in December - and it is $23/person a day. I guess it is is $46 for double occupancy. Last time I did leave an extra tip for my butler since he made some dinner reservations for me.

  3. Does Seabourn still have two shows nightly? I spoke with an entertainer on a recent Regent cruise who says he doesn't like working on Seabourn since he's viewing an almost empty theatre during the second show (I don't know if he gets paid more for two shows). Oceania, Regent and Silversea, I think, all have just one show per night, usually 9:30 or 9:45. If the second show has such low participation, why does Seabourn continue?

  4. Too bad it leaves so early, because train ride would afford beautiful scenery without the hassle of driving. I am embarking Silversea Muse next year in Seward, not sure what their transfer options are. But if you'll have a car anyway for a few days, you should definitely drive to Seward, even explore the town before returning the car. Alaska is magical IMHO.

  5. For recent Ovation sailors, is internet service better on this new ship as previously reported? Does anyone know what the cost is for unlimited access? Is it priced per day, or for total cruise length? Thanks. I was on Encore in December, but the memory is weak:o

  6. I was on the inaugural voyage of the Nautica many years ago and returned to Oceania two years ago. Though I prefer fewer passengers, I now only travel on Marina or Riviera. Why? Jacques. And I like the PH, Are they the same on the smaller ships?

  7. Does anyone know if the corkage fee is $25 regardless of the bottle size. I have a fine French Sauternes in a half-bottle which I am considering bringing on board. Or maybe I should just have dessert in my room - no corkage fee!

  8. I have never sailed Crystal, first because of assigned seating, and now because of the size of the cabin compared to verandas on Regent, Silversea, and Seabourn. I really like Seabourn Encore and am sailing on Ovation next month; I haven't been on the smaller Seabourn ships. I also have a B2B on Silversea Muse next year. I travel solo, and they do offer reduced fares on some sailings. I also like Oceania but upgrade to a Penthouse which single-supplement-wise, are much more reasonable than Crystal. So, there are many options out there. I know Crystal is rebranding and branching out, but not in ocean sailing. Silversea Muse dining is sort of different, no MDR, but haven't heard too many complaints about waiting for a dinner table. I look first at itinerary, then the 4 cruise lines I've mentioned. Regent occasionally offers solo deals on last minute cruising, but Silversea offers them on future bookings.

  9. Agree with nvgal. I've been on Deck 10 on Marina and am booked again for December. Surprisingly, often the most expensive aren't the best. There IS an overhang on Deck 11, don't know about the noise. Forward looks like you would be below cabins, not public areas., so better if you want Deck 11.
