  1. Thanks Cruise til you Drop and Nurse for posting. The OP and info (finally) provided by someone who actually went through the presentation was most helpful. Thx again.
  2. Yeah, my only concern with that is not getting back to the ship on time. I've never cruised to a place where I don't know my way around and now with the even shorter time ashore, I would rather do one of the cheaper ship excursions or stay close to port.
  3. oh thank you! That's what I was hoping to hear. I'm assuming it applies to both the onboard activities and off-board excursions.
  4. Someone posted the link to the Lineup on another post (thanks, Jon81uk) and I took a look at it for next week. I'm trying to adjust my expectations so I'm not too disappointed. They sent us notices saying they were shortening a lot of the shore times starting with our sailing. What I also noticed is that they aren't showing morning yoga classes, vinyasa flow, etc. on the the Line Up. So, in addition to the short time cut backs, they are also cutting onboard activities? That doesn't make sense, does it? If we are spending more time onboard, shouldn't they try to offer more onboard activities? Just comparing this week's schedule to next week, it looks pretty sparse. I saw that someone else has posted an inquiry about shore excursions in Toulon, Ajaccio and Cagliari. So far no one has responded. I got an email advertising excursions such as a trip to the beach in Cagliari, it was like $55 a person, but when I go on the app to book it, they don't offer it through the app. Is it possible they have cut back on the shore excursions offerings as well? If so, this is rotten luck for us. Of all the weeks to have booked our sailing, we get the one where they start cutting back.
  5. I can only speak to my experience, which was I booked my cruise in January and they were running the buy $300, get $100 deal, but I waited. They changed the deal to buy $300, get $50 bonus and while that was going on, I bought my bar tab and got the $100 bonus that was running when I booked. So, in my case, they honored the promotion that was running when I booked. I hope this helps.
  6. I think the OP is asking to hear from anyone who recently ("the last few weeks") cruised on VV. I am going in a few weeks myself, and would also like to know about recent experience with walk up wait times. I get that it that it depends on when you show up, but has anybody recently done a walk up, and if so, how long did you wait?
  7. Yeah, I did the callback feature and never got a call 😞
  8. I've tried searching through this forum, but I haven't seen anyone from the US post about bidding on and receiving a cabin upgrade for VV? We are sailing on Valiant Lady 8/21-28 out of Barcelona and are currently in a Sea View. We've made an offer on a Sea Terrace, but haven't heard anything yet. I should mentioned, I've tried calling several times for other issues and they don't answer or return calls. They answered one of my emails, then ignored my subsequent questions. I've heard from UK sailors here that they are able to get through, so I'm feeling like an American re-headed stepchild. We are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on 8/23 and would really like to make it special. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
  9. How were you able to get through? I’ve tried calling and waited on hold my entire lunch hour before I had to hang up. I’ve tried the chat and they are never available. I wanted to book flights through VV but could never get through. We are sailing 8/21-8/28 out of BCN and I would rather test before I leave home than get on an airplane for 10 hour flight and then test.
