We grabbed it this morning for our upcoming cruise leaving December 17th. I am expecting a sold out ship so it was worth it to me solely because I am taking my daughter who has very severe anxiety and does not do well in very crowded and unfamiliar situations. This gives her the opportunity to escape to the room for a while after we get checked in rather than being further surrounded by loud crowds.

For the Caribbean I usually wear a cocktail dress for formal night and my husband usually wears slacks, long sleeve button down shirt and a tie. He gets hot easily so no jacket most of the time but we still like to look nice. I can't find any of our photos from our most recent cruise but here is one from a cruise my husband and I took several years ago and one from the mother daughter trip I took with my daughter and her best friend for their high school graduation. Should note, I dress up more on Royal than I did on Carnival so this is actually dressed down some from what we normally do.

I've got a list on a spread sheet of everything I want to book and the current prices, the previous sale prices and a blank spot for whatever we see tomorrow. We'll see what the savings turn out to be.
This is what I do for every cruise I take. The day I book the cruise I start tracking prices on the items I am interested in so when I see a sale I can know for sure if it is truly a sale or just a marketing scheme. This morning I was able to grab the deluxe drink package for $62.99 for my upcoming cruise. Up till this point it has been sitting at $77.99.

I got lucky this morning and was able to nab the deluxe drink package for $62.99. Mine was backwards in that it showed in the planner for $72.99 but when I went to check out it dropped to $62.99. Allowed me to check out and pay for it, already received the emailed receipt. Planning to go back and grab Wifi and some shore excursions once they get everything back up.

I booked with them months ago for our upcoming cruise and received a reply within 24 hours. Emailed them again yesterday to update our booking and received a reply within a couple of hours.

I was just able to get in now using a private window on Firefox. No idea if it's been fixed or if I just got lucky.
Just got lucky, still not working for me.

Yes, I am hoping for a bit of wiggle room at the younger groups as I have an 11-year-old who will be traveling with a bunch of friends who are ALL 12-year old's.... he will only be 2 months off and is big and mature (for an 11-year-old) .... fingers crossed they bump him up.
I'm hoping for the same for my daughter on our next cruise. This will be her first cruise and she will be a couple months shy of 15. Her cousin who has been cruising for a few years now will be with us and will turn 17 on the cruise. They want to be able to hang out together so we are hoping they will allow her in O2 with him.

When did sloth tours become a thing? I’ve read about them in many threads lately. Never heard of any tours involving sloths in the past. I guess as far as
animals go they are pretty easy to catch and hold captive.
My daughter and I did a sloth tour way back in 2018 in Roatan. Not a new thing just getting more popular I guess. We used Victor Bodden back then and plan on doing the same in December when we finally make it back to Roatan.

Day 2 Adult Comedy…
Heres the biggest laugh of the evening… the “bouncer” at the door said to me this is for 18 and Over only and was not going to let me in plus you need a reservation. I said I am really old 😂 and would like to go stand by, she asked for my key to looked up my age and she started the OMG laughing and let me through without a reservation 😝
Story of my life! I am a grandmother at this point and still get carded at the liquor store. 🥴

Thank you so much for the live. We will be passing you along the way as we are boarding Oasis next Sunday. I will be following along on your new thread this week for sure.

I received my winning email informing me of my winning big on 1/21 for my 2/13 sailing on Oasis going from an OV Balcony to Grand Suite. Minimum bid was originally $500pp then dropped to $375pp I left my bid at $500pp.

The ice show and aqua show are the two I have that I definitely want to see. Other than that we will stick with whatever musicians are playing in the various bars and around the ship. My husband and I really enjoy the comedians and the piano bar on Carnival so hoping there is something similar on our upcoming cruise on Oasis. We will definitely check out the comedians as least once.

Thanks for the info everyone.

So I won my royal up from OV balcony to a grand suite. When I get the email from the suite concierge will he/she be able to reserve show's for us or do I still have to wait until I am onboard to make reservations? I am trying to figure out what information I need to have ready when I get that email. I know I need to figure out reservations for dinner but wasn't sure about their ability to take care of the reservations for comedians, Aqua show, etc. at the same time or if I need to just handle that once onboard.
This is my first time on Royal and my first time in a suite in general so I'm trying to get it all figured out. We are sailing on Oasis in just a couple of weeks so trying to learn as much as I can in that short time. Thanks!

Well heck, just checked the app and it says "check-in closed". Earlier today it said Jan. 26th. Anyone have experience with this?
Mine did this as well right before check in. Try logging out of the app and log back in, this corrected the issue on my end. I did stay up to check in but I am central time so I did check in at 11pm, not all that much later than I would be going to bed anyway. I did the minimal I had to do to secure a check in time then went back later and filled everything else in.

Mine have generally been around 7 days. My AE seems to process a little quicker than my BOA Visa
That makes sense as my purchase was on my RC BOA card.

I just canceled a pre-cruise planner dinning package, wondering how long it takes for the credit to hit my credit card typically?
What has been your experience?
For the dinning package I cancelled recently it look about 2 weeks for the credit to show back up on my credit card.

I can only speak for us, but we have a digital photo frame that we use for our cruise pictures. We get the digitals, not the prints, and we love having such a wide variety. That way, every time we walk through the room, it's a different memory from a different cruise.
I do this as well as use them for screen savers on a lot of my devices. I don't normally get a package so large but photos of my husband and I together are few and far between as I am usually the one holding the camera and this trip is for our anniversary so I didn't want to limit the photos we take or limit me picking the ones I like. My poor husband is going to hate me after this trip but by god I am going to get some photos of us together whether he likes it or not.

Seems like a good deal ... does this ever go on sale? Currently $140 on an 8-day cruise.
I got it for $120 for my 7 day cruise in Feb but I bought it during the black friday sale.

We are on the Oasis for the Feb 13th cruise and I just received an email with basically the same thing...same 3 ports in a different order.
Yep, I'm on this sailing also and got the same email.

It's a possibility but unlikely. I tested positive with PCR test December 24, 2020, had not been vaccinated at that point. Tested negative on PCR test given January 3, 2021 to return to work. At the time my office had a company coming in every two weeks and testing every single employee. I was tested many times and only tested positive that one time. Husband had the same experience, tested negative 10 days after testing positive. He actually got sick, I was asymptomatic.

That's great! We are also going to be on Oasis (3/6). We have an OV Large Balcony right now. I've bid on a JS and a 1BR GS. Right now, I've bid about $50 pp over the min bid on the JS - and $60pp over the min bid on the GS. For the GS it comes to just over 1/3 of the cost if I were to upgrade.
Had you bid on both a JS and a GS?
No I did not bid on the JS, I knew going in that I wanted full suite benefits if I was going to pay any more for this cruise so I didn't even bother with the JS. I bid on both the GS and OS, 3 days ago my bid was locked on the GS and OS was showing expired.

I did not need to know this. Had ice cream there back in February before our cruise and it was very good. My waistline did not need to know we have one close by.
