Doing land and sea with RCCL in a few weeks, looking to book Kenai Fjords excursion with buffet lunch. We have questions about the timing for boarding the cruise, and what will happen with your carry-on luggage. Royals website says with our package this excursion is an option, just not sure about the timing, etc....anyone ever take this trip the day of embarkation?

We were actually there in early February. Supposedly a storm went thru a few days earlier and forced these basketball-sized jellyfish into the cove. One of our party who was not near the jellyfish was stung by a tentical that supposed broke off one. He was in some distress for a few days.

Anyone been there in the last week?

Any jellyfish? We were at Megan's bay once when there were huge jellyfish, any sign of them? Going Feb 2nd

Some years ago we visited Megan's Bay beach and it was beautiful but we were unable to enjoy the water due to LARGE jellyfish in the water. Anyone been there when this occurred? Is there a way to find out BEFORE going there if this is an issue before paying a taxi/van to get there? Must happen every so often because they had large painted signs warning you as you entered. We will be there Feb 2nd so I will check back for anyone that will be there between now and then....

We would like to go to cable beach when coming on the Allure in Aug, is there any place to be left off by the jitney at Cable Beach that is public beach? Since we depart at 2pm, we don't want to get day passes since we will have only the morning on the beach....

Also, can you only get chair/umbrella rentals only from the resorts?..

A few years back we took a royal shore excursion to Blackbeard Cay. Now they don't run it anymore. It was a great way to spend the day, is there any way to get there?
