Well that puts a kink in plans. I called RC and they connected me to RC weddings which is different branch or company. Minimum price for any type of ceremony even what I said was simple vow renewal was $2k. Way too much for getting almost nothing.
Agree would not pay that for a renewal. What itnereary are you considering? See my update about maybe doing it at Port in a local church?

How much is the escape room?
I think it was $15 or $18 pp. We really enjoyed it! Starbucks and ice cream from Scoops is extra.
-
Allure no longer had a chapel. They removed it on the last dry dock . :(. That being said, Royal can and will do a nice ceremony if you reach out to them well in advance of the sailing. On Allure, I am sure they can find a place to have a memorable renewal service. Congrats on the Anniversary!!
I think the renewal cost is much less than the actual wedding cost.
What itinerary are you considering? You could look at renewing at a church or chapel in Port. I know someone who did this at the Catholic Church in the Bahamas and it was wonderful. Plus they got to take pictures on the beach!

I would not do an interior w 2 little ones. It will be very tight. I would do a balcony or Junior Suite if budget allows. This gives you a couch and room for a pack n play or crib. Also, check out the kids sale free sale.

Any vegetarians here who have tried the specialty Wonderland restaurant?
How was your experience?
Will the chef adapt the menu for vegetarians?
Thank you for sharing.

I went that direction last year on Harmony. It was Friday and Lent and I have a fish/seafood allergy. They did a nice job but Wonderland is more about presentation than taste, in my opinion. My husband did the regular menu, both were tasty but not the best food on the ship. Preferred the vegetarian options in 150!

OP is on Serenade. I don't think they have a Coastal Kitchen or SJS.
Correct only Oasis and Quantum class ships have CK. Serenade is Radiance.
-
Yes, it stops 3 days before sailing.

i'm curious about what the service charge is on the drink packages. Is this the 18% tip? Or is this for tax?'
thanks.

Cuba isn't all that exciting and you can fly cheaper than a cruise. I would do Allure! Keep in mind the tourism restrictions and need to carry local currency or get a Cuban credit card!

I don't know if anyone has ever posted the reference to this webpage.

You would pick Port Canaveral over Bermuda?
I think she meant for departure not realizing it's actually a stop on NE sailings?
-
I can't remember the ship, but we saw them and they were pretty good. Likely Oasis or Harmony.
Laughing. I could write this exact post. We saw them at some point but for the life of me cannot remember if Oasis or Allure. Or was it Harmony.... Ugh.
-
Harmony has water slides, Abyss, Flow Rider, rock wall, escape room, and all the stuff on the sports decks. Grease was a great show too.
I love the shows on Oasis and going out of Port Canaveral is cheaper! No water slides but it's our favorite ship. Tons to do! The carousel on the Boardwalk is a favorite. Rock wall, mini golf, sports decks, flow rider and Zipline are fun! We preferred the specialty restaurants on Allure and Oasis to Harmony.
Allure is very similar to Oasis. Major difference is Solariun turns into a Brazilian Steakhouse at night as a specialty restaurant. Shows are good. Mama Mia is fun for the family.

They sometimes do Yoga on the helipad. That was fun!!

Disney Springs is a nice place to hang out w.o paying big $$ for a day at the park.

I have a question, for those who go to the SL for drinks, do you not have the drink package or you use both? I wouldn't ever need to use the SL only because we always get the drink package, just curious what you all do.
We have done both ways. A drink package is honored in CK and SL and it is a nice place to hang out. Also, the bar in the private beach in Labadee and near the suite lounge deck onboard will take the package. We also enjoy cocktail hour in the SL both with or without the package.
-
Yes, non carbonated Desani and Diet Vitamin Water and Diet Lemonade are available in the Coke Freestyle.

I am still dreaming of the Jaeger I saw in Falmouth in Oct. Beautiful Reverso.. I hope it's still there on our next cruise as I did some research and could not find that model anywhere near that price onshore.

Izumi sushi is included with a $35 per person allowance, hibachi is not included on any package.
-
It really only does two decks. Central Park and the promenade. The decks in between are basically atrium where the rising tide exists so it is open air (indoors). Takes about 15 minutes as I recall to go up or down so 30 minutes to go up and then return back to the promenade. You can exit or enter at either location.
Yes, each trip is 15 min each way. We love to have a cocktail and listen to the Central Park live music. It is one of our favorite bars on Oasis ships!
-
Thank you, I will have to check them out!
Do you remember the cost?
Included in cruise fare but you get about a minute ;)
-
Should not be an issue. Old Fashioned is a standard drink available and almost every bar on the ship. Enjoy!
-
As far as drinks in SL, it's house wine, soda, coffee, tea, juice, some domestic beers. Cocktails are a limited menu and no blended drinks. Not sure if that makes a difference to you?
-
And no hot rocks in Izumi restaurants that have hibachi.
