Hello, I’m after more help and advice! VV now have a special offer on their 6 night cruise from Portsmouth in September, it’s on the Lock in Rate ltd view sea terrace cabins, are these all on deck 8? how limited is the view likely to be, has anyone had one of these cabins and can offer any feedback or advice?
-
Thank you, and can you use your bar tab to pay for room service?
-
We’re currently considering VV (along with a few other lines) for a cruise this summer, I wonder if anyone can answer this for me, is it possible to choose your own cabin? the website says they’ll choose the best one for you, but what they think is best might not be what I think is best!
secondly, can you get room service breakfast and is it included or an extra charge? -
Thank you that’s really helpful

I’m currently looking at a Mediterranean cruise on the Oosterdam, a GTY cabin is about £600 less than a deck 4 midship cabin, if I chance it am I likely to be above the Theatre or below the pool? also when do they assign the GTY cabins?
-
Thank you, yes, might have to try that, shame as this cruise was a really good deal

After a bit more research it turns out there are no direct local flights to Athens for us, not keen on indirect, so this bargain will be passing us by, back to the drawing board I’m afraid
-
Has anyone managed to secure these? Or is it click bait to get us interested?
I’ve spotted a great price on a Greek Island cruise on the Infinity, Aqua Class is less ££ than a balcony cabin, any thoughts on the Infinity, we’ve only sailed the Silhouette and I realise it’s a different class of ship -
Thank you

Hello everyone, I’ve just had an email about this, would anyone know (and save me a phone call) if the CC 10% discount on premium WiFi is in addition to the current discounts showing on the website?
-
Yes, I’ve got this on my April 2025 cruise, no details of what it is, however I still can’t see any mention of the X pass!!

At the top of the page with the tabs it's either under the WiFi tab or the tab called "VIP Passes".
Thank you, it’s not on either for our cruise, maybe because it’s too far away (2025)?
-
Those who’ve purchased the X Pass, where did you find that on the X website?
-
All booked, and we got our CC upgrade from E2 to E1 and the price is @£400 less than the equivalent cruise in 2024 and includes $300 obc, I’m very happy with that

The Canaries cruise we are interested in seems to be a few hundred £££ less than next year and includes obc, so not too bad

Have you heard it’s earlier?

I’m waiting for this too, I was hoping for this morning but nothing so far x
-
Thank you all again, just waiting for Monday now and hoping I don’t need to sell a kidney to afford the cruise!!
-
Thank you both, can I ask how I know (or where I can find) what for example is an E2 category cabin or E1 cabin, is it on the X booking site?
-
We’re hoping that when X releases their 2025 Southampton sailings on Monday that we’ll find one we like and book it, can I get the CC upgrade booking online or via my TA?
I’m only aware of this from a conversation on the future cruise desk on our last cruise, when they quoted me the agent told me he was giving mean E1 cabin for an E3 price because we are CC members
any advice much appreciated

A very interesting thread, I was watching a YT vlog yesterday, fairly well know vloggers sailing the inaugural cruise of NCL Viva, their thumbnail said ratings of 2,6 out of 5!! They then went on to rate different aspects of the Viva, here’s where it gets interesting, the parts of the cruise that would be important to me, nice cabin/good service/great food all got great scores, the parts that wouldn’t bother me nightclubs/theaters etc got awful scores, but based on what’s important to me I’d be tempted to book, what I’m longwindedly saying is it’s all subjective and depends on what’s important to an individual

Unfortunately I believe you are right. I booked through a travel agent so I will contact them tomorrow. Just the premise of not getting your moneys worth is frustrating. I paid for a trip to Israel and Egypt. Instead I get a trip to Mykonos and some other island. Celebrity shouldn’t subject their guests to attend an itinerary they are not comfortable with. It’s very unfortunate, but I think the only thing any cruise company could do would be not offer Israel and Egypt on their itinerary as it’s a notoriously troubled part of the world and these issues happen too regularly unfortunately

Blackfly, would you be covered if you booked flights via Celebrity? I’ve been looking at these cruises for Summer 2025 and my thought was to take Celebrity arranged flights, thinking that might mitigate some of the risk?
