  1. .... and now it is time for my second complaint (there are some here who would not believe I could have any with Carnival;)). Breaking our normal routine, instead of going to the Red Frog for a cocktail before dinner, we went down to the Atrium Bar. To be honest, it was fairly crowded, but I asked who wanted what and meandered up to the bar where I waited to order. I did notice there was only one bartender and one server. I ended up waiting almost 15 minutes (I did have eye contact with her twice) before I said screw it and we skipped the drink in went into the MDR (where I promptly ordered a double from the MDR bar waitress (guess I showed them....).

I made it a point to voice my displeasure with this resource allocation with both my survey and an email to a senior mgt chap I know who said he would vet it up the line.

Jimbo I totally agree !!! We were shocked! We had the same experience at the atrium bar. We waited and waited and ended up leaving the bar drinkless ! Something I have never experienced on a Carnival cruise. I'm glad you complained, I should have as well.

  2. Just off the Sunshine balcony 7275 and we had a fridge! Very cold and not stocked. Spoke with folks 7236 and they and their friends all around them had fridges also friends on deck 9 inside cabin had a fridge.

  3. We often fly out of Syracuse but with the crappy Canadian dollar we will be flying out of Toronto . We have a direct flight in one direction and a hop in the other. I book through Expedia. The other thing you could check on is charter flights like sunwing etc. Also if you are a little flexible in your arrival and departure dates you can sometimes save a few hundred. Our air for February is costing approx a thousand for 2 return.

  4. I'm with you. Sorry, but I don't get it either. I don't understand why people think that just because you are from another country, you should get to pay a lower rate than people from the US for the same exact cruise. If a double occupancy cabin is $1,000 USD for US citizens, you can't honestly expect it to be $800 USD for Canadian residents. That wouldn't be fair at all.

I don't think any of us Canadians are looking at paying LESS than Americans I have $2400 still owing on my cruise in US funds which is going to cost me over $3000 Canadian to pay off. That's all.
