Tried messenger and it worked, sort of! Got a response after about 3 hours and a further response from 'loyalty' about an hour later (9 days after my original email).
Problem was is was useless - implying that because we booked a back to back cruise then cruise personaliser would display the incorrect level. Offered to refund any current or future incorrect payments for excursions, dining, spa etc to our card or to OBC without specifying how to go about it.
Passed it on to complaints, by phone this evening, who seemed equally confused - they didn't seem to realise that cruise personaliser is meant to display your predicted level at the time of the cruise. Hopeless!
Sure it will be sorted eventually but, for anyone who has more than one future cruise booked, it's worth keeping an eye out as cruise personaliser seems to have a mind of its own. Maybe I'll work correctly, maybe not.

Can't say I'm too bothered as well. Seems to me that the DC and Chief are more important.

Thanks - Maybe I will try the Facebook/messenger approach.

Anyone else having problems with their Peninsular Club tier showing incorrectly on the Cruise Personaliser for future cruises?
Up to a about 4 weeks ago all our future cruises had the correct tier associated with them but, about two weeks ago whilst on Oriana, I logged on and noticed our Jan 19 cruise had reverted incorrectly to Med from Caribbean. Another 2019 cruise was also wrong.
Emailed loyalty last Saturday but have had no response. Phoned the 'so called' Peninsular Club hotline twice but was diverted to the standard customer services centre who couldn't help.
This is the third time this year that its happened. From a former computer programmer P&O really do need to sort out their systems!
Doesn't make a huge difference at this point except that I wanted to book some shore excursions and the wrong discount would be applied. I'm sure this can't only be happening on our account, so maybe worth a check for you guys out there.

The 'base' price for each cabin category (inside, outside etc) is only seen when you select 'view details' for a particular cruise.
Once you have picked 'register' and entered your personal details then all prices are with the relevant discount applied.
-
Doesn't seem to be a problem. I did two dummy reservations/preregs, one quoting our peninsular club numbers and one without. The price quoted was 10% less when I entered our numbers

I've had no problems getting email using the browse package although it can be very slow in some parts of the ship.
By the way we will be on this cruise with you!

Website seems to be working now but Cruise Personaliser keeps erroring with 'Invalid Details'.

We booked our Jan 2020 cruise at launch earlier this year through a TA. It was OBC or parking and not both.
On bookings after launch we've always got OBC and parking whether through a TA or direct.

He was our captain in May on a 7 night Britannia cruise.
Just got of Oriana today after her 19 night Med cruise.
We ate in the Beach House on Thursday evening and after about 15 minutes the next table filled up with our captain, David Pembridge, one of the entertainers, Mike Doyle and two male and one female officers.
My hearing is not the best and wasn't really earwigging but, towards the end when we had our expressos, they were discussing Iona and Pembridge did say that Wesley Dunlop was getting Iona.
I'm not overly bothered who the captain is but realise some people are.
-
Looks like Wesley Dunlop is getting Iona if anyone cares about who the Captain is when cruising.

Whether 1 litre pp to consume in the cabin is a lot or a little rather depends on the length of the cruise. It might be fine on a short cruise.
We are on a 19 night cruise later this month and on for 35 nights in January. 1 litre wont last that long.

I think it's patently obvious that there are people who, without any obvious signs, have mobility problems and therefore use the lifts.
Equally I'm sure there are many who could walk a few flights of stairs but choose not to do so - lazy? maybe. Annoying? Yes, I get frustrated sometimes but, as I can't differentiate between the two groups, I just take a deep breath and get on with my holiday - what use is an altercation except to ruin our day/evening and possibly someone else's who actually needs to use the lifts.

As Thejuggler posted the superior deluxe balconies have decent sized bathrooms with shower over bath and bigger cabins. Great for us on the longer cruises but could be a problem if you have mobility issues and need a walk in shower.

Was OK earlier this morning but now comes up 'undergoing routine maintenance try again later'.

I appreciate the posting of the current/recent prices of drinks on P&O. Not been back that long from our last cruise but couldn't remember all the prices of those drinks we tend to buy and never bothered to take any pics - maybe I will in future.
If you have no interest in the price of drinks on a cruise then fine, but as others have said, why bother to post.
Historic prices can also be useful and interesting. How are prices changing relative to inflation?
I have no wish to start yet another thread on gratuities but would hazard a guess that drink prices have increased far less over the past couple of years than auto gratuities.
If they roll out the new drinks package scheduled to start on Azura tomorrow fleetwide, I won't be tempted on future cruises, £50 per day between us is our average spend, so pitched far too high for us.

They did cancel a long transatlantic cruise at the beginning of the year so she could go into an extended dry dock for treatment. They seemed happy to continue with the shorter cruises but were not happy to risk the scheduled transatlantic.
We booked one of the replacement Canaries cruises in February after she came out of dry dock and we didn't experience any problems or breakdowns.
Back on her in just over 3 weeks. Happy to report back if any problems encountered.

I thought most Oriana cabins were shower over bath?
It's one of the reasons we like Oriana, especially on the long cruises.
We have no mobility problems (yet) and I can't imagine doing 28 nights or more without a bath.
All our cruises on Oriana have been outside cabins on A or C deck, all with bath.
-
We did 50 nights on Oriana in Jan/Feb 2017 although we were Freedom dining. There was some vibration at the stern but nothing too much. Doing a back to back (51 nights in total) in December on her, so couldn't have been too bad.

If they want to be a 'family only line' why have any adult only ships?
-
Will be interesting to see what the take up is like on Azura over forthcoming cruises.
Perhaps, as others have stated, reasonable value for families on ships like Azura but for couples I think they have pitched it too high given the 'pay as you go prices' on P&O.
We probably average about £45-50 per day between us so no point in taking up the offer.
-
We've just received ours today as well. Think they send them out in batched.
-
Agree, it's pot luck.
We've had bigger swells just of the coast of Portugal when cruising to the Canaries or Med than we had mid Atlantic.
Also, there's not always a direct link between wind speed and sea conditions. The windiest we've had was a force 12 in the Golfe of Lion in the Med one night on Navigator or the Seas. It's often windy there if the Mistral and Tramontane winds are blowing but the ship wasn't moving around too much at all.

We are on the 3rd January 2020 cruise as well.
Smoking area on Oriana
in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Posted
Smoking areas are port side of prom deck aft 1/3rd ish of the deck. Small area port side Lido deck at back of the spa by Reviera pool. Starboard side of decks 9-11 (a-c decks) aft on the tiers.
