On past sailings, I have pre-ordered water for the cabin, however I haven't been able to find it for my upcoming cruise. Anyone remember what category you found it under?

I really wish they would change the Bubbles program. I just finished an MSC cruise....I could get MULTIPLE unopened cans of soda at the same time. No question at all.
However, for my upcoming March Carnival cruise, I paid $245 for my husband, grandson and I to have soda...and we can't have a can....so, I will need to carry on a 12 pack in order to have a soda on my balcony when I wake up in the morning!
I also loved the soda program on RCL.....the self serve machines were wonderful too....
Come on Carnival........make a change! The little things add up.....

If my husband is heading to a bar to pick up a soda for himself (or vice versa), can he pick one up for me as well (If I send my card with him)? We both have the bottomless bubbles program.

Returned home from the Adventure of the Seas on the 20th and since I didn't find many posts about this ship prior to sailing, thought I would post a few thoughts. First the negatives......
1) Hated the new process to enter the buffet....they have replaced the hand sanitizer process I am used to with 8 hand washing stations as you first go in the door. While I am not opposed to the concept, I like that everyone is washing their hands I feel they need to rethink this process as it sometimes caused HUGE lines that snaked out to the pool deck. I have never had such a wait to enter a buffet in all my many years of cruising. Additionally, the faucets contain hand drying stations.....This blows the germs around....poor choice during a pandemic..... Also...those that skipped the hand sanitizer stations....also manage to skip the handwashing stations as well......
2) 2 of the soda machines are located in the buffet.....however you are not allowed to enter the buffet area when the buffet is closed. This leaves only one soda machine to service the entire ship. (Also can't get to the other drink stations (lemonade, coffee etc).
3) Waterslides...don't know if it was just a slow day...but I gave the slides a try on day one. I thought I was going to get stuck.....ridiculously slow. I had no desire to ride this again....nor did my 11 year old grandson.
Now the positives......
1) Our cabin steward kept our room in tip top shape...had great service in this area!
2) Our dining rooms meals were really good. Enjoyed quick, efficient service.
3) Our cabin had the best balcony of my life! Grab those corner aft cabins on deck 7 if you can....heaven on earth!
4) Love the new muster drill process...so much better.
Overall...wonderful relaxing vacation. So glad that cruising is back!

I returned last night from sailing on the RCL AOS. Prior to the trip, I searched and searched these boards trying to figure out how to get from IAH airport (Bush) to Galveston. I want to share what we did in the end in hopes it helps someone else.
We had an arrival eta at 0030 (30 minutes past midnight) into Bush International. Since uber can be iffy at this time of day and others we contacted declined the trip due to the late hour, I ended up booking with Galveston Limousine & Transportation. We were a group of 4 people and the one way trip was $227 before tip from the airport to our hotel in Galveston. Our flight ended up changing 3 times before we finally arrived and we contacted them each time to change our arrival and they accommodated us 100%. The driver was professional, the SUV was spacious and I had no complaints. Excellent service and I would use again. Contact information below
We used Uber to get to the port...had a bit of a problem at the port as apparently Uber isn't allowed in...(our driver tried)...we ended up getting off in the port, but it was a bit stressful for a few minutes.
I will mention that ubers were not easy to get while in Galveston...however, on the day the ship arrives and returns, lots of drivers come over from Houston, but the weekdays with no ship in port we struggled. We often couldn't get an XL to accommodate 4 people, so had to get 2 cars and had sometimes a 40 minute wait to get a ride.
We met a local private driver in Galveston that offered to take us back to IAH following the cruise. We had early flights (1230), so we didn't want any delays trying to figure out transportation, so we made a reservation with him. He texted us to let us know he was waiting for us. Asked us to go stand under any letter when leaving the terminal and then to text him the letter and he would be right there. He charges the same fee that uber is for the date and time. Our return trip to the airport was $156 before tip. He drives a minivan and was a safe driver. His name is Mark and he was happy to have his contact information shared in this forum. He said he is available for transport from Houston to Galveston (round trip or either way )he can be reached at 817-798-2066. He responded to both my text messages and phone calls promptly.

Anyone familiar with the locations of the Freestyle Coke Machines on the Adventure of the Seas? We are aft on deck 7...trying to figure out my route for those early morning soda runs!

Hi everyone,
It has been a few years since I have sailed on Royal. Is room service still complimentary (cheese burgers/hot dogs etc)? I looked up the menu and the only charge I see listed is for "American" breakfast, but the bottom of the menu says they charge 18% gratuity to each order....this makes me wonder if I am missing the prices.

Does Carnival accept 2 doses of Pfizer as fully vaccinated? My sister is scheduled to get her booster a few days before sailing....that is okay, right?

I am traveling with my 11 year old grandson. I want us both to be able to use our phones on wifi during the trip at the same time. I am confused as to what to purchase. I am attaching the screenshots showing the two options that I don't understand the difference between. Which one will allow us both to use the wifi at the same time if needed? Select one person and two devices? Select 2 people and 1 device? I am confused...is the "device" section for each person? Help!

I am looking at the deck plans for the MSC Armonia and am interested in a cabin at the very back of the boat. It appears there are public decks easily accessed from these area? I am not a fan of pool areas and greatly prefer quiet places to read. Are there chairs in these areas to sit out and enjoy the weather? Anyone have pictures of these areas on the different decks? Also, on the deck under the lifeboats, do they have lounge chairs in this area? Any pictures would be appreciated as well. Thanks. Kim

We recently returned from a 5 day trip on the Majesty of the Seas followed by 4 days on the Carnival Sensation (Feb 2nd-Feb 11th). I was very nervous prior to this trip as:
1) I had never sailed for less than 7 days, and had heard that less than 7 days brought out a whole different crowd.
2) both of these boats were very old, and I worried about the extremely small rooms I had heard of on the Majesty.
3) I booked inside cabins on both ships and I hadn't stayed in an inside cabin in over 20 years. I have always had at a minimum a balcony.
I am happy to report that I absolutely LOVED the Majesty. It was actually one of my favorite ships EVER. The inside cabin was shocking when we first arrived and I thought it was so small that it would run out of air. However, after our cabin attendant separated the beds to allow walking space between each, we decided we could live with it. What vastly improved our enjoyment of the trip was that the cabin was on deck 7. Deck 7 is the deck with the outside wrap around promenade (under the lifeboats). There were lots of lounge chairs in this area and I enjoyed this area immensely. It was a quick trip outside from our cabin. We pretty much lived in those lounge chairs.
Overall ship impressions: Yes, the ship is old and her age is apparent in many ways.....however, the ship appeared well kept, clean and in general, cared for. I loved how small this ship is. You could go from one side to the other so quickly. LOVED...LOVED this.
I was a little disappointed that despite booking over 10 months ago and requesting anytime dining...we did not get it. We were assigned 1st seating. I went to speak with the Maitre D to see if it could be changed. The answer was "no" we could not have anytime dining. I then asked for a private table and he could not grant that request unless we moved to late dining. I must say, he was not pleasant to deal with (in hindsight, I probably wasn't either), but we moved to late night and it worked okay.
With the exception of the Maitre D, everyone onboard was so pleasant and accommodating. The staff was absolutely a joy.
I found the food to be wonderful and the dining room service was the best I have experienced in years. I did not feel our waitstaff were stretched too thin, they were quick, efficient, kind and really just perfect. Eating the in the main dining room was a great pleasure and would have been perfect if we would have been able to receive anytime dining. .
I had one really negative experience onboard. I went down to deck five to refill my soda cup and didn't notice that there was water on the floor on the way to the machine. I slipped and fell HARD. The area was very busy and my fall was witnessed by many, including 2 security guards. A couple of fellow guests asked if I was okay. The security guards never spoke to me, at all. Instead, one walked over close to me and put his hand on top of the "wet" sign floor., patting it and made eye contact with me with a grimace on his face. (It was like he was telling me the slip and fall was my fault....) A fellow guest started insisting that the water be cleaned up immediately (I am still on the floor at this point). The security man said they would call someone. The guest insisted again that it be cleaned up immediately before someone else gets really hurts and tried to hand him her pool towel to use. He refused. She was angry and said she would clean it up herself, the security guard said no and stood in her way. (I witnessed this all from the floor). I finally was able to get up and slink away. Luckily, I was sore for a couple of days, but no serious injuries. However, I do not believe this was handled appropriately-far from it. At the very least the security guards should have enquired if I was okay and perhaps offered to call or send me to medical. Additionally, they should have accepted the pool towels offered and cleaned up the water immediately. He should have at least asked my name and cabin if for nothing else than to fill out an incident report. It would have been great if someone would have called to follow up to make sure I was okay......VERY poorly done. It was like if they don't acknowledge it, they feel they hide from responsibility (lawsuits).
Overall, we have a GREAT time on the Majesty and I just fell in love with the ship and crew. So much so, that I booked another trip on her for later this year.
Now, the Carnival Sensation was the exact opposite experience. I HATED the layout on this ship. There was very little shaded outdoor deck space for me to enjoy. Very little quiet outdoor spaces to read. My fellow travelers were a little rough around the edges and loud...... Even the "Serenity" area was far from serene...except when most were off the boat. Very little shade was available in Serenity. While the ship is within 1 year of age to the Majesty, it looked much older and worn out. The food was okay, but not up to par with the Majesty. Additionally, the waitstaff was so busy and as a result, service was subpar. While we figured out how to make the cruise situation work in the best way possible, it was very obvious that this wasn't the ship for us.
I had pre purchased the soda package, but was surprised to find out that if I wanted a soda cup, I had to pay $5 more. What? So, I used the RCL cup that came with that package all cruise:)There were a couple of things that I enjoyed better on the Sensation than the Majesty. The first being the cabin. It was a standard inside cabin on Carnival however it felt like a HUGE room after staying in the closest at Majesty (However, the location on deck 5 rotted). Additionally, we really enjoy stand up comedy and Carnival offered much more of this than RCL.
On the last night of this sailing we were awakened by first overhead paging in the hallway and then finally, IN CABIN paging of "Code Alpha". Unfortunately, it was probably 15 minutes later before the Captain came on to inform us there was a fire on deck 6. The cruise director came on immediately after to tell us they had extinguished the fire, but they still had to deal with the smoke, so anyone who had been relocated, please don't return to your cabins until instructed. That was the last we heard from overhead paging. The next morning, we heard stories from guests impacted by the fire and were left with a very unfavorable impression of Carnival's ability to handle a real emergency. I have attended about 25 lifeboat drills on many different lines, but I have never really learned what to do in an emergency. What is the point of announcing "Code Alpha" into the guest cabins, if they have no idea what that means or what do to? It was scary to realize that the fire was between us and the lifeboats and to image trying to find your way out with only emergency lightening and hallways filled with smoke. I did write up my concerns and sent them on the post cruise survey to Carnival.
In summary, this was my first and last Fantasy Class cruise. Also, I have sailed Carnival enough to know that they do offer a good product at a reasonable price. I will continue to sail on Carnival, but will never use them for a cruise less than 7 days and preferably, I will continue to enjoy their longer "Journey" cruises. The difference between these short trips and the journey cruises are night and day.

I agree....these old boats don't represent what I think of when I think of Carnival.
