Are the washrooms the same size as regular inside cabins?

I believe the selection is for the sailing date and thus your cruise would have the April book. But to be honest, I'm not 100% sure. I've found the book club on Princess very lackluster with the person from the CD's staff haven't read the book, few people showing up, meetings at odd times, no enough books available for those who want to read it onboard, etc. I've given up. :( What I have been to are book clubs organized by the roll call where those on the roll call decide on a book, read it in advance, and meet at afternoon tea on a sea day. LOTS more fun as you get to know the people you've been chatting with for weeks or months better.
Thanks Pam, that makes a lot of sense :)

We will be on the April 28th sailing on the Grand to Hawaii for 15 nights, and I am trying to figure out which book selection to go with for the book club, would it be April, as the cruise starts in April, or May, as most of the trip is in May? We have a long journey to get to the port so I thought it would be nice to have the book in advance.
Thank you all you wonderful and helpful CC people :)

Princess is charging a percentage now on Canadian charges. This has being going on now for a few month's. I believe it is about 10%, so there is some savings but not as good as it was for a short time.
We have been pre=paying OBC for our upcoming cruise over the last 3 months including last week.
We have called in 4 times and all 4 times it was charged in Canadian $. We were told that they were charging the pre-paid gratuities in US$ but we were just getting OBC. Guess we were lucky.

Thank you :)

Which deck do you access this from on the Grand Princess?
-
Some of the folks up in Canada have been able to pre purchase USD $ onboard credit as well as coffee cards, drinks, etc.,0and pay in Canadian funds which is quite a saving at the moment with our exchange rate.

We will be sailing out of Vancouver (Canada Place) in September and see from the Cruise Calendar there will be 3 ships in port the day we board/sail. We were there once before when 3 ships were in and it was a madhouse. Does anyone have any tips?
We will be in Vancouver on the Grand Princess when there are several ships in, but our ship is scheduled to be a different pier (Ballantyne Pier):)

We will be traveling as a group of 9 people, and will be disembarking in Vancouver, BC. We are trying to arrange our ground transportation and need to let the company know what time we need to have them pick us up so we are wondering what the choices are on Princess for disembarking.
Many thanks !!!

We get home late Sunday night and I have to be at work Monday morning, but we will try to scan and post them by the following weekend.
Thank you so much! We sail at the end of April, and are so excited. :D

ccrain- thank you again for taking us along on your journey. Your
Posts are so much fun to read, and informative, especially for those of us on an upcoming sailing.
Not sure if it is possible, but if you can, when you get back, we would love it if you could post Patters of the Hawaii cruise.
Have a wonderful rest of your holiday!!

Botticelli deck 6 aft, is the traditional dining at 1730 and 1945. Da Vinci, deck 6 midships, is traditional early at 1730, then anytime at 1930.
Thank you :) we are on next month but had the choice between 5:30 and 6:00 early trad dining , so Maybe they just change them both to 5:30 dining. Not really a big deal but some excited members traveling with me were wondering.
Have a wonderful rest of your holiday!

Thank you for taking us along on your cruise - so much fun! Can you tell us what dining room the 6:00pm traditional is in? Is there really a 5:30 and a 6:00 seating ?
Thank you so much!!!!!

Will the OBC show up on the account when they arrive on the ship or will it be in the form of a card that is delivered to the cabin that would then be redeemed at the purser's desk ?
Many thanks :)

2 summers ago we were on an Alaska cruise that also had a " health drink" convention of people on board. There were a group of them on the Ultimate Ships tour, and they were trying to sell me on their product line ( of which I was not at all interested in) and handing me business cards during the tour!
For me that crossed a line, and I felt very uncomfortable as they were very pushy.

This was an awesome spot on our sailaway from Venice last summer. The door to the deck is unmarked and you have to know about it. Luckily some on cc tipped me off.

Where exactly do you access the deck?

(/QUOTE) A ship is a big place and I seriously doubt that except in cases of the worst allergies, people probably won't even know the dog is on board. I cruised one of Princess' seeing eye dog cruises...there were 40 dogs on board. I saw maybe two of them once each.
Agreed - I have been on cruises and later found out there had been service dogs, but I did not see them at all.

Does the Grand Princess have a deck like this that is accessible to the passengers?
Thank you :)

Thank you for doing this Live thread. It is so nice for us, as we will be on next month. If possible, could someone let us know what songs they are singing in pop choir?
Have a fantastic cruise ( or two or three :) )

Hi Julia,
I think there is a Harley Davidson rental agency in Lihue, but not sure about scooter rentals. Please read through some of the threads on the Kauai tripadvisor forum about the dangers of driving a scooter there. There are more recent threads than this one, but it gives you an idea of reasons why a car would be a much better choice for enjoying a day on Kauai. Perhaps your DD and SIL are thinking that Hawaii is similar to the Caribbean re roads and scooters, but it's not.
Waimea Canyon is a great destination, with a stop on the way back at Poipu Beach.
Thanks so much , I will pass the info along :)
