I read this post and had to reply. I was diagnosed with HER2 positive breast cancer 12/16, my husband and I had already planned our 40th anniversary cruise, and did not get insurance, we both felt we were healthy at the time. Then life changed in a heartbeat. I talked to my oncologist and he said going away would be good for us and he was able to work my treatments around my vacation. I did end up getting travel insurance with a pre-existing condition, just in case. We ended up going and have alot of good memories from that trip. Whatever you choose to do, Duncmelsmom, and whatever you may be facing, I wish you the best and good health. I too, agree with breastcancer.org as a great site for help, support and accurate info.

Hi all, has anyone brought & used the powdered Via coffee packets from Starbucks & just added hot water to it? TIA

I usually ask for a side of whipped cream with mine, but next cruise i’m definitely gonna try the peanut butter. Yummmmmm

hi, even before final payment, you can go to your online carnival account, go to cruise detail and then in the blue to do list box- click on view cruise documents. check the print general information box, then click the green submit box. another window will open, that will have your edocs. at the top right hand corner in red you should see "priority", also a little bit down on left where passengers names are, it will give your VIFP status. hope this helps. :D :)

On Conquest class ships the spa cabins are larger- 195 square feet instead of the standard 185 square feet for balconies!

I have read thru all the posts and I apologize upfront if I missed someone already mentioning this but if my information is correct the cove balconies are 10 square feet larger than the average size of 35 square feet of balcony area. An added perk in my opinion. :)

I too despise dark chocolate, but LOVE CMC! :D So I’d have to say it’s not dark chocolate, but a lighter chocolate, iirc.

we haven't done a b2b in a few years, but the first one we did, we made the mad dash to the red frog pub and got our free round of beer for being the first on the cruise there. only time i tried it, cause we actually had a chance on being on the ship really early. just not sure if they still do that. hope so, it was kinda cool :)

is it dependent on how close to your cruise date you are or if you booked with a travel agent? i got to that page, but it doesn't allow me to "click" on anything. tia :)

we love chankanaab! we've gone several time and have never got tickets ahead of time, just got them at the entrance and was never turned away bc it was full. when you go to the website, check out the coupons and bring them with you. the park is great about accepting them without a problem. every little bit helps :) enjoy!

thanks for your help! i'll give it a few more tries and then call celebrity.

sort of a question on this topic. we have cruised celebrity before, but it's been a while. am cruising in sept. we have made final payment, but our cruise is still 81 days away. I can't complete my online check in. website says that i have to complete pending items before i can proceed, but it website doesn't let me go to the check in page. my question is- is this a website issue or is it just too early. tia :)

I feel I have to put in my two cents. Having been on many cruises on all the main stream cruise lines, I can honestly say I have seen good and bad behavior on all lines. It's not the line, it's the people and people can act poorly no matter how much they paid for their ticket. I would hate to be classified by my choice of cruise lines, just as I would hate to judge the class of people by the cruise line they choose. Typecasting and generalizations are usually too broad to be completely accurate.

hi all, just wanted to put my two cents in.just got off the breeze out of galveston. i had my email from ccl and a screen shot of john healds OK for the prepurchase price in hand when i went to buy cheers on day 2 morning (texas law). i was asked to show my proof and was given some run around- back and forth from GS to atrium bar and back a few times. one guest services person even said, i don't know why you aren't being allow to purchase it, we know you are allowed to buy it with gift cards for the reduced price. it was all ironed out and was able to have my first cheers drink by 10:30. hope it works out for all wanting to do this. thanks for listening. :)
