  1. Looking for information and travel to Bermuda for disabled passengers. This is my first cruise since becoming disabled and will be using a walker or electric scooter and land. Need information on local transportation options besides private guides and options to see major sites . Think you and advance for any information or tips you can offer .

  2. Well, we each have our own opinions. We left Reflection two days ago and had a very different experience.

There was a full room service menu as always, at no cost. I believe you looked at the kids menu page for room service, it was the only place I saw burgers and pizza listed.

I also found the music intrusive at times, though I would never expect calm at the pool area. There were lovely outdoor areas aft and forward that were far mellower.

I cannot speak about Blu but we found the MDR back up to old X standards of excellence. I have cruised X since 2001.

They are definitely pursuing a younger demographic, but I sailed over Christmas so I cannot judge the new 'normal".

    We still love it!

  3. Just off Reflection 2 days ago, There was more trivia then ever. One daily at 9:30 am, about 11 am, 1 pm and maybe around 4 pm. There were some events we missed at 9:30 ( family feud,,,) due to late dining. Also a Billboard trivia by decade each day that we passed on.

  4. Since you have the ear of someone at X who is listening.

It would be great if they contact the ship PRIOR to the cruise to schedule a

venue for the expected gathering to avoid a mid-cruise meeting.

We sail on Reflection Sat., Dec. 21 and have planned an informal M&M

at the aft bar at noon on the first sea day.

So maybe X can meet us there! :)

  5. Sigh, thank for posting.

We sail on Reflection this Saturday. I do not care about the prizes, we usually give them away on the spot. It is part of the fun though to rack your brain for

    a cheesy prize,

Maybe someone from X actually reads these posts and might

realize that real trivia will be sorely missed. No more acapella groups,

the end of the classical quartets, I will hardly recognize the only

cruise line I have ever sailed on.

I am NOT a senior or totally boring, these are simply activities I

enjoy on my cruise. I guess I will spend most of the week on my balcony

(not a bad thing) as I don't gamble, drink much or go near the pool.

  6. We love the acapella groups and the string quartets!

This from a rock and roll girl.

The actual production numbers have always been the big weak spot

on X cruises for us. Have enjoyed some comics and the aerialists but the faux Broadway is painful . It has never been an issue , we just do something else. If the folk guitarists go, so do I. sigh

We are also on Reflection 12/211-28, maybe we will have something beyond

Christmas music, if not, time again to make our own fun.

  7. We leave on Reflection in 10 days and over 40 ( known) passengers have tried to sign up for the party with no luck.

I made a list for our Roll Call but there is no indication we will be able to have a M & M gathering organized by X. m

Even if everyone brought their info to Guest relations on boarding by the time they could reserve a space, etc. the point of the gathering ( which for us is to meet people on board at the start of the cruise) would be negated.

The website issues have moved from frustrating to laughable to pitiful.

No matter we will have a wonderful cruise.

  8. We have enjoyed great luck with the X laundry. This is my favorite perk.

I always mark my bags "cold water only" and wonder if the person doing the laundry reads English and/or if my request is simply ignored as you really cannot do tons of wash in different temps to accommodate each passenger.

While I am always careful about not sending delicates or expensive items I always fit in my jeans for the return home. Same for our other laundered clothing. Maybe I'm so grateful they are clean that I ignore the results?I never use hot water at home.

Does anyone KNOW that only hot water is used?

  9. Thank you for the beautiful pics. Both beaches look wonderful.

There are only two ships in port the day we visit.

I do not want to rent a car as St. Thomas traffic almost made us miss the ship once ( we left our cab on a crest and ran the rest of the way).

It sounds like Sapphire or Magens Bay will cost $100 round trip for five. Ouch.

It almost makes me want to look at the cruise ship excursions, but not quite:)

  10. NEVER take a burger from the Mast Grill down to the Aqua Spa Cafe! Some woman told Mike and I that one day!:D

Later that night, we saw her slugging down Cosmos at the Elite Happy Hour! WOW!

Others have frequently joined me to eat at the aqua spa café with foods from other venues. Sounds like you met a difficult passenger.

  11. The "elite events" in Michaels club are only from 5-7 pm in the evenings and I THINK 8-10 am for breakfast ( I always arrive early for the coffee).

It should be open to all during other times. I do not know about the craft beers but have seen frequent mention of this on these CC boards.

  12. We have a group of five arriving on the Reflection. Is Megan's Bay spectacular enough to warrant $100 ( 5 X $20 R/T pp.) on the Safari bus as opposed to the other beaches? We are fortunate to have only two ships in port so it should not be too insane :). What other "quiet" beaches are near the port?

We have no interest in shopping ( this from five females) and cannot do St. John's this trip.

    Advice??

  13. I have only sailed the S class once ( and will again on 12/21) so my aqua spa café experience is primarily from the M Class and Century. I have never seen big lines or waits and I eat breakfast and lunch there daily. grilled entrées are cooked to order but usually only takes 5-10 minutes during which time I sit and have soup or whatever.

Hope the S class ships can keep up with the demand for food and seating.

Well there's always "tea time" and sushi later. Certainly never a lack of food ops.
