  1. I'd bet a later departure time from Norfolk and (maybe) a modified itinerary.
  2. Hopefully, both Carnival & RCCL can accommodate guests' flights into Baltimore. Maybe some will be lucky to change their flights. Either way, Carnival now has to bus guests from Baltimore to Norfolk until the harbor reopens. Assuming the Vision uses Bayonne, they have the same situation.
  3. The lone issue with going to Norfolk is getting staff there. Norfolk hasn't been used since last summer.
  4. The Carnival Legend/Pride are being moved to Norfolk, VA. I wonder if it's more feasible to move the Vision to Norfolk as well after its drydock.
  5. Channel 4 out of Washington,DC just said Carnival was moving their operations to Norfolk, Virginia. That is all they said.
  6. There aren't hotels near the pier in Bayonne. There's several in Jersey City and Elizabeth that will shuttle you to the pier.
  7. Cape Liberty cruise port schedule: https://www.cruisemapper.com/ports/cape-liberty-bayonne-port-10133?month=2024-05#schedule
  8. It would be four ships total: the two current RCCL ships, +1 Celebrity ship and the addition of the Vision. I wonder if Royal is seriously considering if the Vision can sail out of Philadelphia. Otherwise, it may end up having their entire summer sailings moved to Florida (Jacksonville?).
  9. The port of Baltimore is key for a lot of cargo ships. News reports are saying it'll take at least a month to clear out the harbor for cargo (& cruise) ships to be allowed to enter again.
  10. The issue with having a fourth ship out of Bayonne this summer is that the pier can only hold one ship per day. The Vision's itineraries would be altered if that is to happen.
  11. Bayonne has three ships from May through September. 2 Royal and 1 Celebrity.
  12. Can we just name these two new builds the Holiday and Festival?
  13. Question now becomes is where will the Legend be headed until the harbor can reopen. News reports are saying a month at best. Manhattan? Norfolk is not available currently.
  14. I'd bet that the Vision's next two cruises will be out of Bayonne and have an altered itinerary. Carnival's in a odd situation since I don't think the Legend can stay in Manhattan for a month+ and do their 7-day Bahamas cruises.
  15. The Carnival Legend will be first to return. If she ends up going to Manhattan, then it should be assumed the Vision will dock in Bayonne.
  16. Any chance the navel pier in Atlantic City, NJ could work in an emergency situation like this? No bridges to clear.
  17. Norfolk is indeed out. The port and the terminal are both under construction. Vision probably has their next two cruises cancelled unless it moves up to Bayonne. Carnival has little options for the Legend. Charleston? Share Bayonne with Royal?
  18. So is Norfolk out? Carnival usually sails out of Norfolk in the summers. Not sure when Royal last sailed out of there.
  19. The mayor of Baltimore was just on the news stating what a traffic nightmare this will be until a new bridge is completed. Might this force Royal and Carnival to move their ships elsewhere?
  20. It'll be either one. Bayonne or Roanoke for sure if Philadelphia isn't an option. Wonder if Royal would share their Bayonne terminal w/Carnival if they can?
  21. Or Philadelphia if they can fit. I know the main reason Philadelphia isn't used anymore is even ships like the Vision can't fit.
