The second you get on the boat, go to guest services and book posh lounge, an exclusive less crowded area. They only sell 20. I didn’t do this but met someone who did. It was only $59, we were solo travelers. I booked the thermal spa pass, $199, unlimited use, and it was worth every cent. I cruised last week, also during spring break.

When you say guest services do you mean headliners? Can you give a bit more info as I am interested. I want to do the spa but 400 is just too much for us right now 😞

Kokomo by the beach boys and Orinoco Flow by Enya are always good intro songs to any other cruise playlist that get people going and everyone knows them. Bring a portable speaker to the fun areas and everyone will love you. They are good songs for sail away.

if you are going Enya then gotta go Caribbean Blue! LOL

I called reservations and they graciously booked all reservation-required shows and specialty meal day/times on the phone. Going on the 4/13/19 epic cruise. I strongly suggest you get an idea of what you want to attend before calling and try to do it as soon as you can.

The tips from Paelos are extremely helpful.

When did you call? I am on the same sailing so I may call here shortly. thanks

I was just on the epic.  I drank grey goose and soda the entire trip.  It was included in the package.  Charged extra for anything over 15.  Chocolate martini is a couple dollars extra.

have a drink menu by chance? I am disappointed to hear that a martini isn't covered by the UBP.

Port Canaveral is about 45 miles from the MCO airport. You may want to consider staying at a hotel closer to the port and then leaving yourself only a short commute on embarkation date. Also, some Uber drivers may cancel on you when they find that they are going that far.

We don't arrive until after midnight so we are staying near the airport. I can deal if an uber doesn't want a good ride lol. Also the hotels by the airport were much more expensive. B

  6. I just wondered what time to get to the dock to avoid waiting in line for long periods. We are leaving on the Epic on April 13th. Staying at a hotel the night before. We were going to use Cortrans but they wont be able to take us until 10 or 11am pickup. Should we Uber it instead if we need to be there earlier? Thanks!

Maltings has a lot of different whiskey and bourbon than you will find elsewhere on the ship. Last cruise in December I found a Jack Daniels Gold that if it was “served” as a whiskey sour (jd without sour mix), it qualified in the old UDP.  Making friends with the bartenders helps.

I just said to my wife yesterday in going to tip that maltings bartender early and often lol

Use touch screen kiosks to book comedy shows.

Go to the box office (in front of elevators, deck 6 forward) book Comedy Shows (if you didn't do it already), escape rooms, Canvas By U painting.

Go and update dinner reservations if you now have any conflicts.Or get a better dinner time (if you booked late).

Lunch. Buffet and O'Sheehan's open at 11:30. Taste MDR opens at noon.

If I am understanding correctly I can update all of this from ONE touch screen correct? Or do I have to go a screen at each area separately. Thanks Bird!

Generally, NCL never holds inventory for onboard booking. There is no business reason to do so. Sold out usually means sold out. There may be onboard cancellations, so there is a potential to get on a tour. Unlike restaurants, they can't over book a shore ex.

If an excursion sells out, there is a tiny possibility that the tour operator will add another bus, but not normally.

This is really putting a damper on my vacation. I know next time if I am booking a cruise to call ahead to ensure the excursions I want are still available. I figured such a large cruise line would have enough room to accommodate their passengers.... Live and learn
