  1. Great review; the best I've read so far on here. Thanks for sharing.

My wife and I did our honeymoon cruise on the Vista as well, so it was a lot of fun reading your review. It brought back memories. We didn't do the CT, but now I wish we did lol.

The Vista gets mixed reviews, but it's a great ship and the review really showcases it.

  2. My wife and I are 32 and 34 respectively and we are not big partiers either. Our sea days consist of laying on a deck chair enjoying the sun and a drink and hopping in the pool, hot tub, or water park when we want some activity. After dinner, we enjoy taking in a comedy show and the piano bar. Basically low key stuff. Very relaxing for us. I definitely recommend spending some time in Serenity for a little more peace and quiet.

  3. It's nice to save $300 on a $3000 cruise just by using gift cards. :) Personally I always stock up on them and have plenty handy. You never know when you will book another cruise, or take them aboard with you and pay your onboard spending with them. If you want to use them for excursions, you can (obviously) only do excursions through Carnival. You won't be able to use them for any private excursions you take. (Which I am sure you know, just clarifying)

Absolutely. That $300 savings basically covers one of our flights.

  4. One thing I haven’t seen mentioned so far concerning lunch and dinner:

There are many great options on the Breeze besides the Lido Buffet. Cucina del Capitano (all the way up aft) is a free for lunch and great, as is the BBQ place down on Deck 5. The Blue Iguana does great breakfast burritos and on sea days there is a brunch with a pretty good menu.

I'll add Ji Ji Asian kitchen and Guy's burgers to that list also. Guy's is free and Ji Ji is free at lunch (fee for dinner).

  5. I think I'll just stick w/ the ship excursions. One of mine, was a small savings. One was more. And the third, I can't find anyway.

What is ship time? The time at the home port? So if we go from Port Canaveral it would be EST?

Yes, ship time is the time of your departing port. Don't trust your cell phone for the time.
