First time reading MSC doesn't divvy out the daily service charge in a thread like this. But it doesn't surprise me in any way.

I have a 14 day Caribbean cruise on the Seaside coming up in April and I'm mostly looking to book beach type excursions. Everything on MSCs website lists a minimum number of participants, usually around 15-20 but even some with 35. How likely is it that these minimums won't get met and the excursion would be cancelled?

Google maps has a measure distance function too. I got 1198 feet when measuring the ship (close enough). From the end of the pier to the aqua icon for "Perfect Day at CocoCay" I get 1765 feet. About a third of a mile.

I've seen what times the pools open/close from cruise compasses, but what about hot tubs? Is at least 1 always open 24 hours?

You'll definitely want to reserve in advance. Guarantees a cabana plus you'll get it much cheaper if you grab it during a sale.

As mentioned the life guards were very attentive at stopping kids from going in the pool. However children are still free to sit in the chairs in the area and use the hot tub right next to it.

There might be better photos out there, but at least this kind of gives you an idea of the new balcony size on deck 11 forward. Credit to AdamsAway.

I also saw your live thread elsewhere but it's great to see everything posted at once here. I sure wish Navigator was doing 9 night cruises more often. I'm not a big fan of the 3/4 nights she'll be offering.

Right on both accounts! The rain cleared almost everyone out, but I just grabbed my drink and went into the water. It was warmer in there.

Loving your review of the cruise I was also on 🙂 It's a real shame about the weather we got on Labadee though.

Just off Harmony and even when I "signed" them on our stateroom TV I still needed to resign at the sports deck location. As said just go there, it takes 10 seconds, plus you need to pick up a wristband.

Make sure to always bring an ID with you when you get off the ship.

Might be worth it to also just buy the smallest (looks like $50) amount and test with that.

Do you purchase the bungalows online in your cruise planner? Or aboard the ship?

Can be purchased in either, but highly recommend to buy early through your cruise planner are they will probably sell out. Yes they are under Labadee excursions.

These RC "gift cards" are definitely a pain to redeem, but I've done it twice for my November sailing and had 0 issues. Both times I just sent an email off to SharedServicesGiftCertificateRedemption@rccl.com with them attached and provided my reservation number. Each time exactly 14 days later I got an email reply saying they've been credited to my account (they were). I did book directly through RC and have kept my reservation with them. I didn't redeem them at the time of booking either, but ~3 and ~7 months months after the fact.

Wish you could just enter the gift card number online and get an instant redemption, but this way worked so no complaints.
