  1. We were on the Oasis in January and they had the regular, cranberry and the blue Redbull, but didn't check for the tropical flavor. Seem like it is getting more popular all the time with the different flavors. We had the premium package, and could get any drink with Red Bull in it on the package.

  2. Used Uber for our ride from the Sleep Inn in Dania Beach to Port Everglades, my son got a car for 2 and I got a SUV for 4 of us. We used BlueHeron's code for $20 off, my sons ride was free and mine cost $6.23 for the four of us after the coupon! THANKS BLUEHERONS!!!

The black Honda Pilot that picked us up was the nicest and cleanest cab i have ever been in, the leather seats and friendly driver were the best!! It only took 4 minutes from the time we hit the button to order our Uber car till it showed up! Our friends that traveled with us decided to order a cab and they waited 30 minutes before they gave up and got the Uber app and their car was there in 5 minutes!

I did use a cab when we got off the Oasis, as they were right there when we got out of the terminal, cost us $12.90 to get a van ride for 4 to the airport.

  4. Last week on the Oasis there was a film crew filming a new Holiday commercial with Santa and Elves on the Flowrider, Zipline, and Pool areas and other spots around the ship, so it should be out soon!!

Seems like i always showed up after they were already done filming, or were waiting for something or someone to get the shot done, as i was wondering if i could get in the background somewhere, but it never worked out.:D

They also had a Vacationing Santa on the ship where you could take a picture with him in front of the Christmas Tree on the Promenade, he had on a Caribbean Shirt instead of his Santa Suit!

So hopefully we will see a new commercial out pretty soon for the Holidays!:D

  5. Santa was on the Oasis last week, you could get a picture with the "Vacationing Santa", dressed with a Caribbean shirt instead of the Santa Suit.

There was a film crew onboard filming a Christmas commercial for Royal Caribbean with Santa on the flowrider, on the zip line and other places on the ship!

  6. Does anyone know where to find a list of every bar on the Oasis? We have a group that wants to hit every bar on the Oasis and make a t-shirt to get a signature from a bartender from that bar to check off that they were there, including the suite lounge even though non of us are in a suite, that one might be the challenge!:rolleyes::D

  7. I watch the video over and over and it looks like to me just before he fell he takes his right hand off lunges back just a little bit and purposely pulled away from the guy that was holding onto him.

It's pretty clear that he wanted to get away from who ever was holding on to him, his hand was on top of the metal with his fingers wrapped over the top, then he moves it to the side to help him pull away from the people helping him.

If i didn't want to fall i would have my hands over the top to help hold on, not to be on the side where there is no grip to pull yourself up!

You can even see when he puts his hand on the side of the metal davit, his head is pulling away from the people helping him, like he is trying to get away from them!

I think this video will be a savior for RCCL to prove that this man wanted to go overboard despite people trying to save him!

  8. This is the one we are taking for our December Oasis cruise also, i was hoping the bus driver would let us stay in Montego Bay for a couple of hours to go to Margarittaville to use their waterslides and have a drink or two before heading back to Falmouth!:D

  9. Seen your post and was wondering if your from North Dakota? We have a group of 15 coming from Minot in December on the Oasis and we are trying to decide if we want to go zip lining, or go to the Blue Hole thru Liberty tours. Trying to find the best place to go zip lining from Falmouth, which one has the longest runs or the most runs for the money. I'm in charge this, so i want to make sure i do a good job!!:D

  10. But how is that any different than the pricing structure of cabins. I'd say good for those that book early. Maybe the caveat is that you used to not be able to book them in advance

Yea but excursions "used" to be a fixed price, and maybe Royal has figured out that maybe they will price excursions like they do rooms, you have to book early to get a good price then they will continue to go up until sail time... a whole new can of worms!!!

  11. For our December Oasis cruise, it says over the water cabanas "from $350", but when i go to add it to my cart it comes up as $395!

I think as the cabanas start to sell,Royal will just keep upping the price until nobody will purchase them and then sell the last few on the ship. It will be interesting if people start talking to other cabana renters and find out what the other ones paid for their cabana! Might be a few mad people at the shore excursion desk!!

  12. The other option is hiring a car service, which can be more expensive but no worries, or there is the Tri-rail that runs from Ft. Lauderdale to Palm Beach:http://www.tri-rail.com/stations/fort-lauderdalehollywood-international-airport-at-dania-beach/

It's pretty cheap, but you will need a cab to the train station from the port, but there are buses that run from the train station to the airport.

  13. Has anybody done this through RCI? Can you book independently? I was wondering if we book 3 people to do this excursion and book through RCI, how do others go along via the cruise ship? I don't want to book the excursion for myself, but do want to accompany the others and watch. I don't mind paying admission, but do not want to pay for the swim with dolphins? Also can you stay longer on your own?

We just booked the Royal Swim thru http://www.dolphindiscovery.com, they have a 2for1 promo going thru 9-23-15, which saves $149!! If someone is not doing the swim, the admission is $21 for adults and $14 for kids.

You have to put in the reservation you are staying at a hotel and not a cruise ship, otherwise it won't let you book thru them. Just look up a hotel name to put in the reservation.

  14. We are doing the same for an Oasis cruise in January, we have 6 coming in to PBI and we thinking of getting a van and driving to FLL in the morning. I checked on the Tri-Rail and it is $6.25 on the way down and $5.00 on the weekend when we get back, but you also have to figure in the cab from the port to the rail station. Either you deal with traffic with a car rental, or deal with getting to the train and to the airport from the rail station! I know there is a bus from the rail station to the PBI airport, but handling the luggage several times stinks!!

  15. For our Oasis cruise in December, i can book a Nellies Beach Over the Water Cabana on my cruise planner for $320! They sure have gone up in price!

It says On Board Only, but i can add it to my cart and it brings me to the credit card info, i don't know if i want to pay that much though, last time we were there they were $225!!
