  1. Sorry, for the very specific ask...

I’m trying to book a couple of pre-cruise tests (in Vancouver) and for the life of me can’t use the website to book them.

the option doesn’t appear and/or I only seem get offered Ontario stores. Search facility shows the store on a map, but doesn’t let you select it.

ive tried two computers, two browsers and a phone. None successfully.

I’m trying to access from the UK. This shouldn’t make a difference (should it)?

I would like to go to the MDR for breakfast, but they frown on me sleeping at the table.  Chops is good for breakfast and we usually get better service in the morning then we do for dinner. But, I certainly don't shy away from the Windjammer and a plate of sausage and a plate of bacon.

can anybody grab breakfast in Chops or is it for suite people?

only cruised once and used windjammer for breakfast everyday; must have escaped us that we could use MDR (although our then 7yo was probably easier to cater for in the Windjmammer).

  3. Aside from paper copies of our vaccine and pre-cruise tests…. Do I need anything else?

looks like i can add my sail pass to my phone wallet (so paper copy not strictly needed).

What about case label(s)? Is that taken care of at check-in?

    thanks

Though I have to admit...I arrive earlier than my check in time, just to drop off luggage...leave carry on bags in vehicle....then walk over to Grills for a wonderful "way to start the vacation" Bloody Mary on the dock.  😄

taking this thread off at a tangent (seems like it’s run it’s course anyway).

does the above mean i can drop my luggage off (check them in) ahead of my check in time? Do they do this at all locations/ships?

im not due to board till 12:30, so I like the idea of dropping our suitcases off earlier and being able have a relaxing mooch, ahead of boarding time.

  5. I’m a cruising novice (just awaiting our second cruise). But I think the two best snippets I picked up ahead of my first cruise:

    1) take a multi-gang plug thing with you, that way you only need one adapter (if necessary) AND means you can charge phones and use a hair dryer etc at the same time.

    2) depending on your room, might not be necessary, but we bought one of those multi pocket hanging things that you hang on the back of a door. That was really useful for extra storage in the bathroom.

  6. Sorry, couldn’t find an appropriate place to ask.

my daughter (10) is unvaccinated. She had covid in May. Current requirement is for a pre-cruise PCR for her. Seems to be some risk that PCR could still return a positive result (up to 19 weeks).  Are there any steps I can take to mitigate this (any other testing/process to validate that it is an old infection)?

we cruise early august in Vancouver (Alaskan cruise).
